Good Morning Friday, 31st October 2025

Good morning all on this last day of October. At least we are back to warmer days with temperatures back to average for the time of year (mid 20s)

It has been a lovely sunny day so far but rain is expected this evening. I am saving my laundry for Sunday when “No rain” is promised by BOM.

Batman Halloween

I love the irony in that!

I have to say that kids here are slowly embracing Halloween though it does have its dark side. A picture of a Kookaburra trapped in an artificial web:

I think it was eventually rescued but not a laughing matter for it.

Have a lovely day, the weekend is almost upon us for the workers out there.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

I am having a grotty time, problems with laptop, broadband, TV and networking.

Getting someone out is not easy.

An incision in my leg made during my last visit to hospital is not healing properly and causing problems.

The only good news is that King Charles has finally done the decent thing and dumped little brother Andrew.

Have a great day all.

Morning all…

Not much going on today. We have some family stuff to deal with since the passing of my father in law a few weeks ago. Big get together afterwards and deal with some home stuff.

Have a great day…

Morning all – another grey overcast start to the day

Had a lovely meet up with the girls yesterday. Once again there was a lot of talking, a lot of laughing and, of course, we were the last to leave. We are all going on a “girls night out” on Saturday and I am looking forward to that

I have an appointment with the hairdresser this afternoon so, of course, the forecast is for heavy rain!

Am I the only one fed up with all the hype about Halloween and tired of all the talk about the TV programme “Traitors”? Open any newspaper and there are numerous articles about both – only topped by the news about Andrew. Radio presenters are also obsessed by both! Oh dear – I really am turning into a grumpy old woman!

I won’t depress you any further and just wish you all a lovely day

It must have take some force to break like this. that at the back is only a piece of nylon from the workshop

Good morning - lots of incoming phone calls about one thing or another …but still, there isn’t much else to do apart from hope for some TV time. The weather isn’t very nice so anything I do will be indoors.

Have the best possible day

Good morning!
A bit dull & cool, but dry

Nothing very exciting for today - answering a couple of emails and carrying on work with the fireside bellows

Does anybody read a newspaper any more?

I haven’t bought a newspaper since the Sydney Morning Herald went tabloid and get all my news from the internet, TV and radio.

I used to buy a newspaper every day as the wife liked to collect the coupons. But since leaving work, I don’t recall buying any. If I want to know something, I look on my phone.
