Good Morning Friday, 31st July 2026

Good morning everyone from Wonderful Wollongong. Yes, I am home again.

I arrived in Sydney at 5.30am on BA015 from Singapore. Picked my bag up from the carousel as it was one of the first off. I think the label might have helped a bit?

Sailed through Immigration and Quarantine and was outside in no time. Caught the train to Central Station but found a Wollongong train ready to leave - even better it was from the above ground Platform 14 rather than route march Platform 25 in the bowels of the Earth.

Was home at about 9.15am having shower after putting all my dirty washing in the machine. Which is now ready to go on the line.

It all worked out rather well after a very long tiring journey. I flew from Macclesfield in the arvo on the 29th July.

I have the fan heater on, it is only going to get to 18° today, after all that lovely UK weather in the mid 20s it feels freezing.

Enjoy your Friday, I have bags to unpack. :slightly_frowning_face:

Take care…

Good morning Bruce!

Glad to read you had a smooth journey home, nice to have the good morning thread back on the forum again over morning coffee!:slightly_smiling_face::+1:

Not a hell of a lot to report today. Mohawk day, sides to be clipped and shaved at the barber over the road. Royal Mail willing I’ll have some colour prints to scan on the Canon flatbed later. It feels a bit cooler this morning, shouldn’t tempt fate! :open_mouth::sun_with_face:

Have a mellow Friday forum people! :slightly_smiling_face::v::blossom:

As Bruce arrived home the crowds were out to welcome him home. The kangaroos were jumping for joy all along the route home.

Welcome back to the morning slot Bruce.
I’m always late getting on the computer to have kept the thread going while you were away.
No different today as it’s almost mid day now after my early morning walk.
The wind has got up now but early on there wasn’t a breath of wind (except mine after doing some 60 second sprints) it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop out in the country and away from the traffic.

Welcome Home Bruce .
I’ve missed your Good Morning threads.
Today the 31 July was Mr Ripples Birthday …oh well chin up tits out and carry on

I’m back from art group …another fine mess
