Good Morning Friday 30th August 2024

Good morning to all the forum folks on this fulsome Friday. The weekend and Spring are almost upon us, though it is sunny and dry at the moment (27°).

The anticipated wind has not yet arrived and it is nearly midday so I was up early escorting my bins to their place kerbside and followed this up with a quick trip to the supermarket for a token to top up my spare phone as it needs renewing by Tuesday.

The spare phone is rarely used, is on the Optus network (via Amaysim - just in case) and has a $10 per year subscription - ie they charge per call. When I have a visitor I top it up with a monthly fee but when they leave it reverts to its $10 for the rest of the year.

Not much happening today am about to go out for my daily walk and also awaiting a delivery of another 16Gb memory chip for my other revived laptop - I might ditch this Dell eventually as the old Lenovos are so much better build quality.

Well, that’s my morning, not terribly exciting but what are you up to on this Friday?

Good morning - Another warm and sunny day is on the cards.

Apart from it being Mrs mart’s birthday, it’s also the start of a national craft show that goes on for 3 days. Crafts are a main interest for her. The show is fairly local to us and so I’ll be ferrying her to and from the venue for the next three days.

Hospital again for me this evening.

Have a good day.

Edit: I dropped Mrs mart off at the craft show and then went out of the airfield by the same route. A good job I didn’t leave it until later. The queue of cars going in was easily three times longer than it was when we joined it. Need an airfield to accommodate that lot.

TIS FRIDAY< TIS FRIDAY !!! A lovely Friday morn to all :grinning:

TGIF
It’s finally Friday-I’m so glad, it’s been a crazy week. I got chewed out on Monday, and since then I’m all bleak. I lost my lunch on Tuesday and a parent went insane, which shocked me so completely that I almost popped a vein. I poked my eye on Wednesday, and the nurse gave me a shot. She sent me to the doctor when I fainted on the spot. On Thursday I was tardy 'cause I kinda over slept. And the snack that I was craving came up missing in a theft. And so it’s finally Friday. No more pencils, no more books. No sitting in detention, no more teachers dirty looks. By Friday I’m exhausted, out of energy and breath. But that’s the day you’ll hear me shout," Rejoice, TGIF !" And twice a month on Friday, I remember why I stay, you see I’m the principal - thats when I get my pay.

Have a safe and happy Friday :grinning:

Good morning everyone.

Another warm and sunny day - good grief I’ve lost count now of how many we have had like this! It was peaceful walking across the fields earlier, not another soul in sight. Now Annie dog is flaked out on her bed, probably dreaming of her next meal.

I am going out for lunch today with two friends so that will be good. I haven’t seen one of them for quite a while so there will be much catching up to do. After I retired I volunteered for several years at a local NT property as a room guide and this is where I met the two friends I am meeting today - they are still volunteering so there will be loads there to chat about too.

Hope the hospital visit goes well @mart.

Happy Friday everyone.

Afternoon awl…
We had quite a nice morning and met some friends with their dogs. Our wee dog is now a year old. She beautifully behaved and needs no lead except when crossing the main road. Then she just sits as she while she waits for it.
