I thought I would start the Good Morning thread today for a change. It is actually arvo for me but what the hell?
Overcast day and decidedly cool.
My son rung to ask if I am going to watch his ship leave as it goes to scare the shit out of the Chinese (or was it the Fijians, one of them). It will be my first trip to Sydney and my first on public transport since the beginning of the pandemic. HMAS Sydney sails on 4th Sept for Hawaii, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and the South China Sea. I blacked it out because it might be a secret - no idea.
It should work out well because my daughter in law won’t drive in Sydney so I will drive their car back to Wollongong so she can drive on roads she is confident on to drive back to Canberra and I get a lift home - win win all round.
Apart from that today looks pretty bleak, got the recycling bin back in this morning and I might go into the garden later such is today’s excitement.
Good Afternoon Bruce, Good Morning Barry and all who follow.
Enjoyed my early walk - crunching through Autumn leaves and being pelted with conkers! Going to be cloudy most of the day - but it is still quite warm.
I think I am shopping with a friend today - but she has not confirmed it - so am not 100% sure - something will happen anyway - let it be a surprise!
Hopefully you can still make your discharge, Swimmy! Fingers crossed.
I need to walk Holly very shortly, then wait in for the doctor to phone me (just hope it doesn’t end up all day, supposed to be the morning), and the window cleaner is expected to turn up. Once we have discussed my blood test result, and whatever the ‘borderline’ is, I hope to mention my wait for the next dermatology appt., hope he can hurry them along. He will most likely say no he can’t.
I could do with some vacuuming, but need to find some silent jobs around the house, so I don’t miss either of the phones ringing.
Mr S …. grab your coat and get your hat …
leave your worries on the NHS doorstep …just direct your feet to the sunny side of the side of the street
I sang that !
