Good Morning Friday, 28th March 2025

Good morning to you all on this wet Friday. 25mm rain overnight and more just started falling as I am typing. Can’t complain about the rain or the temperature, it’s a balmy 25° and the rain much needed, it is just a bit dull, the escarpment has disappeared.

I was out early getting milk and essentials for the day, I had hoped it would dry up a bit before the next lot of rain but alas no. Noticed that my exotic plants are flowering, I forget what they are called but it begins with a “B”.

I am afraid I neglect them, once they have flowered they don’t flower again and grow from new pups but I have never cut mine back as I should.

This morning the PM announced that the the federal election will be held on the 3rd May, it will be a very short campaign with nearly a week lost because of Easter and ANZAC Day. So far tax cuts from Labor and halving fuel excise tax (25c/litre) for a year from the Coalition, the latter have not very quiet on their nuclear power plans. According to the polls we are heading for a hung Parliament which will probably be the best result.

Went to the doctor yesterday arvo, he gave me drops for my eyes and he will ring me on Monday to see how it is going.

Apart from that it will be a day spent indoors or in the garage. Hope you have a more exciting day than me.

Take care…

Good morning Bruce, and thank you for sharing your lovely update and photos.

Today is one of my lazy days, I woke up not wanting to do anything at all! But of course, I still had to go to work. After that, I had to drive to my other house in the suburbs to take care of my plants.

Normally, I live on the other side of Bangkok, closer to my workplace. And by “close,” I mean about a 45 minute drive! On Friday evenings, I usually travel about 2 hours to get to my house in the suburbs, where I stay for the weekend.

Hope you have a relaxing day indoors, and take care of your eyes😊!

G’day Bruce. That’s a Bromeliad. I have a few of them and they usually get repotted every 2/3 years assuming they are not grown outdoors of course.

Good morning all!

Once again a nothing in particular day today, the furthest I plan to travel is to the convenience shop over the road for a baguette.

I’m in the mood for making a searing hot chilli this evening and I do need to use up some of the above. I hate wasting stuff! :hot_pepper: :radioactive:

Have a good day forum people :+1:

New man? sadly not. Yes it’s free as long as you take some shite with you. Oh and leave it there.

Yes that’s the name. Mine are outside, I have been thinking of moving a few to a different location, I think they like somewhere shady.

Love Bangkok, especially the canals, skytrain and the food.

Good morning - A bus ride to the hospital this morning to pick up a prescription. A blood test at the GP surgery this afternoon.

I discovered yesterday that our landline telephone is not working so, if there is time, I’ll look into that. A call to Virgin Media first to make sure there is no problem their end. The online check says there isn’t but that’s not always to be believed.

Morning all – we had some rain overnight but the sun is trying to break through

Beast again refused to go out but did let me cuddle her for a while – she is definitely getting lonely, fortunately her regular servants are due back on Sunday.

I pay a subscription to read a newspaper online – for some reason it is blocking my access, despite the site confirming I have an active account. I had no problem before but around mid-day on Wednesday it suddenly blocked my access. Have been in touch with their “helpline” who suggested various things, including changing my browser. Did all that but nothing changed – I suggested the problem is at their end – why can’t they just check my account is active and restore access! Ever felt like you want to give up all this technology and go live in a cave?!!

Anyway, whinge over

Northing much planned for today – need to get the ironing done before I run out of clothes!

Take care – have a great day

Good Morning from Foxy’s Gaff… :classical_building:
Had a nice day in Scarborough yesterday but like I predicted it was mainly a rummage around the shops so I didn’t get chance to run nude into the sea @Eliza and they don’t go much on nudity in M&S… :009:
I did manage to catch a glimpse of the sea though when I escaped from Mrs Fox…And I photographed this little nugget on my phone…

Then Mrs Fox bundled all the shopping on to me…

Nice and sunny this morning so opted for a longer walk past my favourite road junction…

It was nice to get out into the country and home before the rain…

It’s the first time I’ve done my five miler since 2nd February and all the bother with my heart and then the gout…I’m happy to say that it went really well and even managed a couple of bursts of speed (jogging) they are the red bits on the map…I did say they were ‘Short Bursts’

I hope the terrible earthquake in Myanmar has not affected you @Pimmy . According to our news this morning buildings in Bangkok were damaged. Keep safe.

My garden always produces far more hot chilli than is needed so I dry them, grind them up in a coffee grinder after which they last for years.

Im also thinking about @Pimmy hope she is ok , and not affected by the earthquake.
