Good morning all. It is hard to believe that we are nearly halfway through the year.
My DiL and eldest grandson got away on the train to Sydney quite early this morning, the dog, youngest and I are enjoying the last of the sunny winter days for a while, tomorrow it’s supposed to be overcast and rain is predicted for Sunday. Later we will take the dog for a walk followed by some shopping.
Green bin was emptied this morning but already is full again after some more tree trimming (love my Makita reciprocating saw).
II have my great niece’s one year birthday party to attend one day this weekend, my youngest son and his GF arrive tomorrow for the event. As usual I advised my niece to buy something she really wanted and give her child the box because they will both be very happy, as usual my wise advice goes unheeded, even though I warned that from next birthday onward the opportunity won’t exist.
I guess all the workers among us are looking forward to the weekend. Anyway have a good one…

Beastie got her revenge for my scaring her yesterday! Left me two gifts, one right next to the litter tray, the other under the table!! Anything to be awkward! She didn’t keep me hanging around by the open door so I suppose I should be grateful for small mercies!
Had a lovely time at the Thursday, coffee, cake and gossip session yesterday. We were somewhat depleted as there were only 3 of us there, the others were either on holiday or busy elsewhere.
I noticed OldGreyFox didn’t return to the thread yesterday – hope he (and Mrs. Fox) returned from their walk OK
Today’s exciting plans are laundry and housework. Another 3 books are due to be delivered – I really must try to resist buying so many books, not only is it expensive I am also running out of room!
