It is all go here in Wollongong, I was up early and paid a visit to the Vietnamese bakery to buy a dozen wholemeal rolls, then a trip to the supermarket for milk. While I was there I was chatting to a young fella sorting out the pre-cooked food. I complained that Coles used to do a very nice individual meal but suddenly started to add rice to each serve. Joy of joys, he pointed out the next bay where they have 4 serves of the stuff without the rice (I dislike precooked rice intensely), they had Massaman Curry, Butter Chicken and Thai green curry so I bought a couple.
I suspect I will have to add a bit of my own chilli to those.
At home I divided them into separate meals and put them in the freezer. Enthused by this I also cooked my spag bol sauce from some mince and pasta sauce. Nothing like the Italian version, mine also has onion, oregano, garam masala and my home grown dried chilli. Today I tried a “fiery” Taco mix instead of my chilli. It was divided into 5 portions and has joined the other meals in the freezer. I shall eat like a king for a couple of weeks.
That was my morning, I might lash out on a lottery ticket to celebrate my culinary prowess.
That’s my morning done and dusted, what are you up to?
I’m just having my first caffeine fix of the day at the indecently late hour of 05:50. I feel as if I’ve slept in
Purchased my Environment Agency rod licence online yesterday for the princely sum of £36.00
We have a lovely old ten acre millpond virtually on our doorstep, must be all of four minutes walk away!
I haven’t been fishing for ages, much rather be on The Thames but these days I find it so much hassle carrying all the gear on the train.
For those of you who have any interest in the subject I can’t wait to get to grips with my superb little Shimano!
I bought it a few years ago… It’s yet to be used in anger
I have to pay ninety quid (ouch) for a permit from my local angling club who have the fishing rights to the pond but this also includes several others waters they care for locally and some exchange offers with other clubs. One of which is in the darkest depths of Surrey I believe!
The sky is grey now but it will brighten up later and start to get hot according to the forecast. The new garden building arrives today …minus two parts that have been holding up delivery for some weeks. These will have to be sent later. The builders say they can overcome this one way or another. They only have a limited time slot for the job and so we have had to accept the building as it is.
A prescription item needs picking up, so I’ll be riding the e-bike along there soon to collect it. After that, it will be all ‘the building’.
