Good Morning Friday, 26th September 2025

Good morning to you all on a warm, sunny, spring day. There is a warm westerly wind and temperatures are already 25°.

I received a phone call from my son sailing down the Queensland coast, he told me my brother had a stroke but was recovering well. Communications is so different these days, he received a message from my brother’s daughter (his cousin obviously) telling him all about it but because my number was only on my brother’s phone they had no way of contacting me! Now I am waiting for late this arvo to ring him because at the moment it is the middle of the night in the UK.

On to more mundane matters. Had a bit of a fright last night (not really), went to bed and turned on the TV to watch the late news, the TV was fine but my soundbar wasn’t working. Touched the power supply plug/transformer and it was stone cold. First thing this morning I had it all in bits, I thought the power supply had failed but the voltage was OK, looked at the amp card, no swollen caps. Put it back together and it worked fine, I can only assume it was a dirty contact somewhere.

Still waiting for my recycling bin to be collected - it is so late these days, the green and red bin are both emptied by 7am.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Take care…

Good morning!
Bright, sunny, clear

Called at the opticians yesterday to book a routine check up, and they said - Oh, there’s been a cancellation, we can do you tomorrow!
So that’s what I’ll be doing this morning

Might get my hair cut while I’m in town, so that will be every thing done this week - teeth, hair, & eyes

Morning all…

We are having difficult times at the moment with my Father in law, but at the same time, trying to keep a sense of normality until the inevitable, with no idea when that will happen. It’s difficult not to think of yourselves when all your thoughts and efforts are with others, especially in times of distress.

So we are going to try to have a normal day (this is, normal for us) and attend to my FIL later in the day. He does have a stream of other visitors throughout the day and my brother in law stayed with him all night, so he is never alone for long.

So for now, the saga continues…have a great day all.
