Good morning all, happy to report 2.5mm of rain overnight but still cool this morning at 14°.
Forgot to put the bin out yesterday but as it only had one small bag of rubbish in it it can wait until I return.
Posted a letter off to the federal Minister for Energy this morning complaining about the rip off price electricity increases, also emailed the supplier.
Still damp out but the grass is drying, I have been sitting in the sun which was very nice.
Im beginning to feel like Im in a disaster movie , the tempretures getting higher day by day, till none of us can take it anymore .
There was a slight breeze yesterday ,so decided to hop on the Bus and go see the play I had booked .
I hope theres air con on these new electric buses ,it was like being in a Greenhouse on the old bus , with very little windows to open
Anyway the play was The spy that came in from the Cold ,starring Ralf Little , he was the youngest member of The Royals .
I left at interval , it was one of those plays that was like a novel being read.Hardly any action or props .
No plans today, just going to stay as still as possible so as not raise the temps anymore .
Morning … I’m crawling on the floor , hot air is supposed to rise isn’t it?
Seriously, it’s horrible and I’ve had enough. There was some dramatic thunder and lightning in the night but it just seems to have instantly make it feel more humid.
And argh … the sun is out again and I now know how vampires feel.

Morning all – yes another hot day forecast – some thunder last night by no rain (unfortunately)
Went to the Thursday meet up with the girls – only 4 of us showed up and we were the only ones in the hall. I left after 30 minutes because I felt like the Wicked Witch of the West - I was melting!
Someone please explain the logic. I called into the supermarket and apparently “due to the heat” the ice cream aisle was closed until 1.00 pm! First if the other freezers in the store were not closed off why was this one and second 1.00 pm is probably the hottest time of day!
My lovely Italian neighbour called in yesterday to check on me. She even brought an ice lolly with her! Although she and her husband are about my age she checks because I am on my own
Another day of sweltering heat awaits. Yesterday wasn’t quite as bad as the day before and it seems a little fresher this morning. Can’t wait for this to break and get life back to normal. Loads of jobs to do, but can’t be done under this blistering heat. Even my PC decided it had enough and couldn’t cope with the heat and decided not to work, going out on temperature and heating the room up when I had it on (which I seriously don’t want).
Need to clean out the car, weed the drive and just looked out the window and my tree has turned into an overgrown monster, which needs serious trimming…but its just too hot. I’m constantly looking at my phone to check the weather to see if and when this going back to normal.
Good Morning all on what promises to be almost back to normal day , there’s a gentle breeze and just 25c almost 10 degrees cooler than yesterday hooray its a lovely day .
Still got that hacking cough & cold it’s a really noisy big scary cough.
A remedy you swear by to rid a cough would be greatly appreciated as I’m meant to be off to Lake District next week next Thursday .
This made me smile. The London School of Economics had to cancel the lecture on hot weather .Why? because of the hot weather.
