Good Morning - Friday 24th Sept

Good morning everyone :slightly_smiling_face: a bright start but it is clouding over.

I am off to clean the fridge before the Waitrose delivery arrives then I might manage to finish planting some Iris bulbs.

I pulled up the french beans yesterday and stripped them off, blanched and froze them. This second lot aren’t as tasty as the first lot I grew earlier this year and they were all ready at once.

Enjoy your day :slightly_smiling_face: .

Morning all.

I was told recently of a man, out walking his dog, was targeted by two blokes driving a white transit, who had tried to take his pet. Well guess what? It happened in the churchyard, at 11pm!! Now, c’mon. Have some common sense!

A lot of shops aren’t doing cashback at the moment because since the pandemic began they simply don’t have a lot of cash in their tills, with everyone paying by card or phone. I never use cash these days, haven’t done for well over a year. Everything is paid for with my Apple watch. I have a Ā£20 note in my purse that’s been there since the start of the pandemic :joy:

Anyway, good morning folks! Another day with daughter’s dog, and then I have to pick granddaughter up from school later. In the meantime, I think I might cut out a hoodie and pair of trackie bottoms for said granddaughter from some lovely cosy French Terry fabric I’ve been saving since the summer.

Enjoy your day everyone

Another warm, sunny day in lockdown paradise, did a tiny amount of gardening, some work on my camper, went for my walk and early this evening did a bit of shopping for essentials before the weekend.

When i lived at home my old man would make wine out of anything that would ferment including Rose Hips, Elderberries, nettles, dandelions and, even on one occasion, grass (not a memorable vintage).

When I left home and he didn’t have free labour he stopped collecting the stuff and bought fruit at the markets, bastard! Oh yes, and having to mow the grass himself he bought a power mower, double bastard!

Anyway have a good one.

Another dry walk with Alf, if its global warming bring it on, its called climate now though.

Nothing planned or will be done, unless panic at the headlines and go and get some petrol, best fill up the mower and the can, one never knows.

One thing I’ve noticed is the Swallows have now left.
