Good morning everyone a bright start but it is clouding over.
I am off to clean the fridge before the Waitrose delivery arrives then I might manage to finish planting some Iris bulbs.
I pulled up the french beans yesterday and stripped them off, blanched and froze them. This second lot arenāt as tasty as the first lot I grew earlier this year and they were all ready at once.
I was told recently of a man, out walking his dog, was targeted by two blokes driving a white transit, who had tried to take his pet. Well guess what? It happened in the churchyard, at 11pm!! Now, cāmon. Have some common sense!
A lot of shops arenāt doing cashback at the moment because since the pandemic began they simply donāt have a lot of cash in their tills, with everyone paying by card or phone. I never use cash these days, havenāt done for well over a year. Everything is paid for with my Apple watch. I have a Ā£20 note in my purse thatās been there since the start of the pandemic
Anyway, good morning folks! Another day with daughterās dog, and then I have to pick granddaughter up from school later. In the meantime, I think I might cut out a hoodie and pair of trackie bottoms for said granddaughter from some lovely cosy French Terry fabric Iāve been saving since the summer.
Another warm, sunny day in lockdown paradise, did a tiny amount of gardening, some work on my camper, went for my walk and early this evening did a bit of shopping for essentials before the weekend.
When i lived at home my old man would make wine out of anything that would ferment including Rose Hips, Elderberries, nettles, dandelions and, even on one occasion, grass (not a memorable vintage).
When I left home and he didnāt have free labour he stopped collecting the stuff and bought fruit at the markets, bastard! Oh yes, and having to mow the grass himself he bought a power mower, double bastard!
