It turned out to be another self care day. I worked on an app. A website I subscribe to with some relaxation stuff has greatly improved recently. Nice!
Having trouble sleeping for no reason.
Plan for today depends on how much more sleep I can get.
Dog walk, breakfast, hang up washing when finished, then go out for supermarket shopping. Not decided which one, but could well be Asda. Not been there for a while.
Still not recovered, throat still hurting. Dammit.
No work today…hurrah!
Off into town for a bit of shopping. Also I must get my Alpha flight jacket dry cleaned all ready for the Autumn chill and buy some decent wellies from Decathlon.
Slowly waking up … have a shower soon … then into town for a couple of errands
My kitchen light has packed up; I phoned the landlord/housing association a couple of days ago to report it, but not heard back about someone coming to look at it, which is surprising as usually they are very good about that sort of thing
So I’ll call at their office and see what’s happening
I had an eye test last week and need new lenses.
Glasses are now so cheap that it’s hardly worth just changing the lenses, especially as Specsavers have a 2- for - one offer
I’ve chosen new distance glasses but I forgot about reading ones, so I’ll do that
I’ll also call at the Community Grocery Shop and see what they have in stock
Good morning all,
Ive had a busy morning cleaning . Central Heating keeps coming on …
Son sent me a video last night of a Pub they dropped in on in Ireland and there was a Irish band sitting with the customers singing, infact not sure it was a band look more like customers had taken different instruments for a sing song .Definatley a community spirit .
Are there any Pubs like that in England anymore .?
With them all turning to resturants , and young people wanting discos , im not sure there is .
The sun is shining , but we had more rain in the night .
Thoughts are with Mr & Mrs Fox who I hope are getting over the accident .
Good evening everyone…Couldn’t sleep last night with gout in the big toe. Went to see the doctor first thing after a friend and neighbour kindly agreed to take me. Walking was impossible. The doctor prescribed colchicine and an antibiotic, also a blood test at the hospital once the swelling has gone down. Daughter and hubby took us out for a full English breakfast and a visit to their new house. By the time I got home this afternoon the swelling had spread into my ankle and still very painful. Insurance company are collecting the vehicle on Tuesday and will give me a valuation. No lasting injuries from the accident, and Mrs Fox and me are beginning to return to normal, but without a car…We have been reduced to tears after the many offers of help from our neighbours. What a brilliant neighbourhood…
Thanks also to the many members on the forum both new and old who have enquired about our plight…Love yer all…
Oh not gout again on top of the accident, that’s just cruel and it must come hard being without a car when you’ve been used to one .Having good Yorkshire folk around must be so very welcome .
Hope you’re soon feeling better .xx
Hi Mr Fox I hope when you read this you and Mrs F will be feeling better … especially your toe sharp intake of breath ouch so painful for you.
You’ve not had a lot of luck what with covid ,gout and now a car accident.
