Might do house work today, go round with the vacuum. Anything I now want from the supermarkets must wait till the weekend, for fresh items. (Bread and pot plants).
Good Morning from Foxy’s World…
Mrs Fox left the house early to do some last minute shopping, I got dressed and jogged and walked around my three mile canal extravaganza…Weather was good but a bit blustery, still dark when I set off. Did some hurdling over a tree that had fallen across the towpath but in the car park at the end of the path the canal and rivers trust van just turned up, so I expect the tree will be gone tomorrow.
Took the opportunity to drive to Sainsbury’s while Mrs Fox was out and get her a stocking filler…Actually it was a bottle of gin in case you were wondering…
Sainsbury’s is usually empty at half eight on a weekday morning, but today, the entire population of South Yorkshire were either on the roads or filling the car park.
So birds have shat on me car so I’m off out now to wash it off and give it a clean.
Daughter rang while I was writing this and she can talk for England…I don’t know where she gets it from…Hence the late posting…Catch yer all later…
I admire your determination and ability to buy gin as a present for your wife.
I could never drink gin, or even kiss anyone who drank it.
A legacy from my past, 50 years ago.
I was working the East Coast, one port in particular, where vast amounts of Juniper Berries, which were used to distill Gin.
The shipment was 300 tons of Juniper berries, all certified.
That was not the case, it was covered in rats and wirh over 20 tons of rat poo in it.
Gin and red wine are her tipple these days Swim. It hasn’t always been so. In the early days it was Dry Martini, Southern Comfort and a pint of John Smiths…
One Christmas when we were first married, Mum asked me what drinks should she buy for Mrs Fox…I replied…"If it’s got alcohol in it, it will be just fine…
