Good Morning From Foxy’s World…
Got my early morning walk out of the way…Well it was actually ‘a later than usual’ early morning walk because I slept in…
Off to pick up prescriptions from the chemist, take some shorts in for shortening (I like em’ short) and then dive off to Sheffield to look at a few motors…
This is the mysterious secluded path I take on my short walk down to St Oswalds Church and the canal, looking brilliant now all the foliage has grown up…I half expect to see a bunch of fairies dancing about under the trees when it’s quiet…But alas…The only fairy is me…
Morning all – lovely bright sunshine this morning, hope it continues for the rest of the day.
Busy day yesterday, met up with the usual reprobates for coffee, cake and gossip in the morning, did some grocery shopping, and gardener arrived early afternoon to cut the hedge and tidy the garden (certainly looking much better now!) Then sister in law was passing so dropped in for a catch up and glass of wine (just the one as she was driving!)
Neighbour telephoned to ask if I was interested in going to the theatre - then he told me the price of the ticket £99!! Said I wasn’t that interested!
Not so busy today – washing machine is on and once I have put that out plan to take a walk in the sunshine to the shop to pick up some wild bird food
I had an interesting experience this arvo. I went to a grog shop to buy a six pack of beer to restock my fridge.
Apart from the surprise that it didn’t open until noon I was even more surprised when the bloke asked for my ID, I was just thinking how young I must look when he told me it applies to all alcohol sales in the Pilbara (north part of WA). Apparently you can be banned from buying booze and anyway can only make one purchase in a 24 hour period.
It’s a bit different from the NT who have a policeman on duty at every booze outlet (not pubs) but probably much the same.
Good morning from Florida! It’s lovely to see you all out and about and sharing your adventures. It’s a bit gray here today, but perfect for a quick run at the neighborhood sportsplex. The stadium is the nucleus of that park, and today the local high school is practicing for their high school graduation next week. Yesterday they were out there having a grand time, singing up in the bleachers and generally ignoring their teachers.
As I was leaving, I stopped in the driveway for a moment to set the radio and mirrors but started to notice a high whining sound and thought it might be the air conditioner. I fiddled with the controls and the sound went away for a few seconds, but it soon started right back up. I leaned this way and that, trying to discover the source, and finally popped the hood and climbed out of the car to see if I could identify the issue. It took me only a few more seconds to realize that the sound wasn’t coming from the car at all but rather the latest addition to the family:
A little late, so Good afternoon everyone. Very warm and sunny at the moment, bright blue sky, 29C, but rain is forecast tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully temperatures won’t fall too much.
