Good Morning Friday, 16th October 2026

Good morning everyone, another dull and, for me, a fairly cold day, it might scrape up to 20°. Definitely jumper weather. Sorry to keep whinging but I really hate the cold.

Don’t have much planned today, might wander down to the $2 Shop and see if they have any 2027
calendars in, otherwise the day will just be spent keeping warm. I actually woke up during the night feeling cold and had to get a couple of blankets to throw on the bed. No sign of October weather before next Tuesday (mid 20s)

Nothing else to report, how about you?

Take care…

An early Good Morning from me !

Now don’t get jealous Bruce but I was uncomfortably hot when I woke and decided to get up for a cuppa

Rain is forecast with sunshine from mid morning

I am expecting another friend today, she travels a lot and it’s the first time we’ve met up this year so there will be much to chat about

I’ve never had so many visitors, maybe they know something I don’t ……anyway I’m enjoying the company

Have a good day and enjoy your weekend :grinning:

Morning all!

Up about an hour ago remembering that I’d forgotten to buy some instant coffee yesterday :open_mouth:
Never mind - plan B, bring out the French press and run some beans through the electric mill! :yum::coffee:

I’m meeting family from Scotland in town around lunchtime, we’ll be heading for my local CAMRA pub for a drink, snack and a catch up!

Just opened yesterday’s Amazon delivery

I do like polo neck jumpers, they can be worn just plain casual or vaguely semi smart. This one’s in oatmeal, I thought it’d go well with the peacoat given the time of year.

Have a mellow Friday people! :v::fallen_leaf::maple_leaf:

Good morning one and all…

A sunny day down here in the southern part of the country, but damp and muddy as it rained heavily during the night.

Just come back from my daily walk and noticed the local waterway is still extremely low despite the recent rain. This also means my back lawn is soaking wet when I envisaged getting the mower out for a final cut of the year and maybe giving my hedge a going over. But that’s not going to happen unless the weather dries it up a bit. Today’s fun and games will have me dropping off a load of stuff to the recycle centre, coffee and house chores - nothing exciting. I’m still working through my bird pics I took the other day and may stick up another one later. Beyond that, see what else happens today.

Have a great Friday all…

:umbrella: :coffee:

Morning everyone

Bit chilly this morning 13 degrees, blue sky and sunshine.

Out last night in town for our regular meet up and a glass of wine. We commented on how quiet the town was last night, with no summer visitors.
This is why the fair in October is very welcome as it brings people in, which means the shops and businesses benefit as well.

Looking forward to Christmas when people come back and fill the hotels again - i like a bit of bustle and activity, and one of the reasons we moved here.

Garden work today, and there’s plenty of it - think i’ll do a bit at a time!

Have a pleasant day all.

Good afternoon everyone, another very warm and sunny day today, high 20s but only while the sun’s still out of course.! :sun_with_face:, Indoors it’s become quite cold unfortunately due to last week’s rain, low temperatures and then strong bitterly cold Northern winds blowing into our houses, finding their way into every nook and cranny!

Keep fit class this morning and then some shopping including a nice chocolate dessert for me and my son which we ate after lunch. We all need to indulge every now and then.
Trying to sort out autumn/winter clothing, what’s staying, what’s being thrown out… boring job but gotta do it.

Have a great start to the weekend everyone, wishing you all lots of sunshine too. :sunny:
