Awake already as I was woken about 5.15am - ish by a “noise” moved my hand to my face and sudden “OUCH” then almost burning went to the bathroom heard a buzz and realised I had been awoken and also stung just on my jawline up from my chin, pain is not the right word but noticeable it Is there. Taken an antihistamines and washed area with soap and water.
Could not see anything at first as to what it may have been checked the bed then back to the bathroom where I had walked to see and there was the culprit a wasp on the door frame, I had gone through afraid to say it is now “deceased” it was very groggy BUT so was I.
Now sitting watching my recording of question time. Good start to the day. NOT
Kazz my sister was stung by a wasp in the house one Christmas eve, so I suspect the warmer weather is helping them live longer. Hope the discomfort goes away soon!
Morning all, just back from doing the Friday Tesco shop, and now having a nice cappucino and five minutes on here.
Looks like rain coming in shortly so I may bake some mincepies to pass the time on, plus our stockpile is down to just two anyway so quite a necessary job before the weekend when we tend to indulge ourselves…
Barry, apparently there are a lot of apples this year, so if you have spare time make some apple pies, as the growers are saying there may be a shortage of apples next year!
Thirded about the neighbors. 2 hours of pounding on Wednesday afternoon. They seem to be building something. Because of them, it has been a stressful week.
Good morning all, a wet and gloomy day and feeling a lot colder.
After a few days of trying to get hold of a doctor to look and treat my husband’s badly bruised leg, a doctor visited yesterday afternoon.
His right leg has swelled 3” bigger than the left and very painful. She said he should have been seen 6 days ago as it needed draining but it has turned into gel now. She phoned a hospital orthopaedic surgeon to get advice on what would be best and was advised to be treated at home due to his age 84 and the current influx of covid cases.
I have a prescription to pick up this afternoon my grocery order has been delivered.

Colder it was. We walked to the pharmacy to get our Covid boosters. The nurse offered give us the 'flu shots while we were there so that was handy - we did have a later date scheduled but she did the whole jingbang today.
Back home to walk the dogs then home again for lunch. And that’s it.
I have had a cough for quite some time, thinking it was hay fever, allergy, rhinitis, acid reflux, whatever. Ignored it, thinking it would clear up, but it hasn’t. Tried the online form but it referred me to 111, saying it might be Covid. Had to phone surgery to say I have had two negative tests, one only a few days ago. Now waiting for a call back from a doctor.
