Friday the 13th is off to a good start, a wrong number and cannot get back to sleep.
I will no doubt fall asleep sometime during the day.

I am in the minority, but I enjoy Friday the 13th. I schedule elective surgeries that day, doctors are less busy. Air flights go smoother, dental appts, etc.

My husband believes in a lot of old wives tales snd is very superstitious. I believe we give our power away by believing such ‘stuff. It’s just another day but it’s the fear is so prevalent that many apartment buildings omit the 13th floor.
Shocking actually.

just spare a thought for those down under who have already lost their morning friday - well almost it’s nearly lunch time and I have been waiting for yuz patiently

I must admit to being a bit superstitious about that date. I wouldn’t travel far or have an operation on that date - silly really.
This morning I’m going swimming - better wear a lifebelt!! lol

A sunny start here and looks like being another fine and warm day.
Just back from doing the weekend shop and having a brew now before deciding what to do next, which will probably be making my beetroot chutney this morning then some more berry picking this afternoon. The blueberries have nearly finished but the blackberries are in full flow and the autumn raspberries are just starting, so plenty to come yet.

Still no sign of my brother coming to visit and I put my arrangements on hold for him . My sister who texted to say he was coming, I expect they got the wrong week and it is next week so another week of uncertainty.
Waitrose are due any time and there are more beans to pick and some watering to do.

Never realised it was the 13th til I saw this thread, nowt unlucky about it, still I woke up again this morning the rest of the day is a bonus, been out with Alf and all’s well in our world.

Good morning - Off to the allotment shortly for a couple of hours. A ride over to see my brother this afternoon. Friends are coming here this evening for a curry. A sociable sort of day ahead all in all.

My brother doesn’t answer his phone. If he wants a message conveyed he rings my sister who texts me. The only time he rings me is on Christmas day and then he can’t hear me over the whine of his hearing aid.
He is 84 and still working, I don’t know what he does, MI5 or the Mafia probably because he never talks about it.
