Good morning on this cool, wet Friday.

The rain woke me up about 2am with a very loud downpour, when I read my new rain gauge at 9am there had been 12mm. Since then it has hardly stopped though the ground did desperately need the moisture.

Since getting my bin in (very quickly I have not left the house, my grandson has mainly been watching a movie on TV. I tried to persuade him to read a book (William or Biggles) but apparently books are boring. I offered to read to him but still boring, so TV it is :frowning_face:

So I am the one reading - can’t even take the dog out. I hope it might clear up later but the thunder has been rumbling most of the morning.

BTW @swimfeeders there was an piece on the news about 3000 people taking up hospital beds who should be in aged care. It is partially propaganda as the state health ministers do battle with the federal health minister over hospital funding. The figure has increased by 25% to 3000 in just three months - hospitals are run by the states but mostly funded by the feds. As I mentioned Medicare has its problems.

Morning all…

Just a quick one today, sat in a coffee shop whilst the wife’s car is being looked at. Supposed to be going to a market afterwards, but its raining out, so probably spend the morning sat here drinking coffee.

Good Day Peeps… :039:
Very dark this morning but nice to see the temperature up to 9 degrees C. My back was still playing up and getting things moving after lying dormant for eight hours is a problem and it takes a mile or two to get loosened up, but sadly no jogging. I was lucky, and got back with just a few spots of rain, it’s chucking it down now.
I think some rest will be the order of the day, so perhaps some catch up work on the computer, or some recorded ‘Battle Bots’ to watch.
Still got some cards to deliver but they can wait until later when it’s stopped raining…
