For the first time since I finished that big project, I got up feeling a little better. Paradoxically, after I finished the project, I felt more stressed for a while. I did a few more financial transactions that got me back to feeling stressed again. Then I spent a bunch of time chasing down that Black Friday special that I ordered on Wednesday.
It was supposed to be shipped to me, but the warehouse ran out. A store near me had one so it’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Besides waiting for that order, I don’t have any plans for today. I think it might be a holiday but I don’t know if many companies observe it.
I went to the city centre yesterday and saw some modest beginnings of Christmas decorations as early as 9 Nov inside and outside shops and department stores. Not sure what they’ll add to that in the course of time.
The last pic shows the pure Christmas tree on our market place after it has just been erected and workers having a coffee break. Looks as if they have stopped competing with other big cities for the tallest tree. Good decision.
Just curious: Are your public Christmas decorations also under way?
On a happier note, my NfH have been away since the start of this week. I knew I hadn’t seen or heard them, so asked my friend yesterday (she has the bloke on FB). Oh yeah, she said, meant to tell you. No idea how long this blessed silence will last for, maybe only a matter of hours or a day…
Good Morning from Foxy’s World… Lets have a group hug to keep warm…
Been out for my walk and pushed it to five miles, sun shining, birds singing, and felt great. Came back down the muddy lane that wasn’t muddy at all. Breakfast done, a quick shower and off to Greggs for lunch.
Incidentally, does black Friday last all of November and December…
Christmas has arrived in South Yorkshire already Dachs, the council have been busily sticking up strings of lights and decorations on all of the lampposts, in the more affluent areas of Doncaster obviously…Not much in my little backwater…
