Morning all!
Big storm on Thursday night. So glad I got some food when I did. Still catching up on sleep.
Hoping for a quiet day today.
Have a nice day everyone.

Morning butter, and all to follow.
Horrible weather here, and set to last the day. Rain and wind, so not looking forward to the dog walks.
Only a few days now till my time away visiting family and friends, dog goes to the carer on Sunday, so I need to start thinking about my own packing, and what food/biscuits she needs to have with her. I also need to change bed linen, do a clothes wash, get petrol, and do a small shop, when I can decide what SM to go to.
Morning all.
Hope you have a nice time Janet, and hope your family are well.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all, still snowing here but forecast to stop later before -6°C overnight tonight, brrrr…
Nothing much planned, just the Tesco run if the weather eases.
Have a good day if you can…
Good morning!
It snowed last night and there’s quite a thick covering now
Although it’s not snowing at the moment it’s cold & grey, with more snow forecast for later this afternoon & evening
Normally I’d get well wrapped up and go for a stroll round the park, but I have a minor cold and don’t feel very lively, so I’ll probably get back under the duvet, dozing & reading
Each December I stock up with food for Christmas & winter, for just this sort of event, so I don’t need to go out for a couple of days, and longer if I need to
I have a couple of part made model planes, but I feel a bit too bleary to work on them, but hopefully soon
What aircraft are you building Geoff?
I have built a few over the years but nothing on the go at the moment.
They are two P47 Thunderbolts
I’ve made the plastic kits since I was a boy in the 1960s, and I have a cupboard full of unmade kits, enough to keep me going for the forseeable future
I retired about 10 years ago and I had great plans, plus we’ve had The Lockdown, so you’d think that by now -
All my model kits would be made up
All my knife making would be completed with handles
All the sheaths and other leatherwork would be made
I would have tried out every recipe in my 18 or so cookery books
My hiking boots would be worn out
I would no longer have a pile of 8 or 9 unread books …
But as we know, it doesn’t seem to work out like that
Good Morning all,
We’ve actually got a patch of blue sky so I’m off to the park for a bit of exercise
Enjoy planning your break Jazzi, that’s always an exciting part
Have a good one everyone, and Zuludog remember to do lists are only aspirations, not commitments!
I started with the Airfix kits when a boy as most boys did at that time, but I soon progressed to balsa kits that I also used to fly at one time with control lines. These days though I still make the occasional balsa warbird but always end up giving the finished article to one of my grandsons. Like you say though, it doesn’t always work out how you planned, there just never seems enough time
Hi
Good Morning All.
Snow has stopped, sunshine now…Not been around a lot, got run down and an eye inflection flared up.
Very difficult to see the screen and text.
Have a good day all
Thanks Maree.
Get well soon Swim.
Sorry to hear you are going through a bad time at the moment Swimmy, I hope things will improve for you soon.
Thanks for keeping us up to date with how you are feeling. Take care.
A belated ‘morning to all.
Been into town this morning for my audiology check. Had my hearing aids adjusted and ‘the world’ sounds a lot clearer now.
Next appointment will the Opticians in two weeks time for a check which I’m fairly sure will result in another pair of specs.
Very cold waiting for buses that seemed like a lifetime arriving.
Stay warm folks. x
