Good morning Friday 10th July 2026

Good morning all…

This heat is unrelenting here in the south coast. Yet another sleepless night with a heat wave that looks like it may go on for another week.

Yesterday was a bit of a stressful day for various reasons, so I’m determined to have a less stressful one today. I just need to visit my bank and pick up some photos I’ve had printed. My overgrown tree will remain overgrown until the temperature drops a bit, I have some clearing I need to do, which will remain uncleared for the same reason. So today, I will let my coffee decide what needs doing and may even try out a few things with my camera which I need to do before our cruise next month.

Have a great Friday all…

Good morning!
A beautiful, hot, sunny morning!

Have you missed me? … I shouldn’t really ask that question as you never know what the answer will be!

A short while ago I didn’t really have anything much to report, and than I went away for a long weekend, so I think it must be over a week since I posted anything; but back to it

I visited a friend on that short break, and he gave me a leather jacket with a broken zip, saying that if I could mend it I could have it
So today I’m going to a well stocked haberdashers in Colne to buy a new zip
Most leather jackets seem to have brass or other metal zips, but I fancy a heavy duty nylon one
I’ve checked with the haberdasher’s website and phoned them, and they say they should have something suitable
If not there are Online suppliers, but the problem with that is that you can’t check before you buy
I’ll be fitting the zip myself, as I’m used to sewing leather from making my knife sheaths and other items

I’ve got a bottle of water in the fridge ready for the bus journey to Colne, and so hope to stay out of the pub, though I may well have an ice cream
