God morning to you, it is dinner time for me I have had visitors.
Fairly hot but windy day, got my laundry done and dry in an hour or so.
Have a good one
Take care…

Good morning all…
Yesterday was a bit of a disaster! Had to make an emergency appointment with the dentist as my back molar started acting up. Very long story with this, but I had a temporary root filling years ago which now appears to have failed and I have a crack in the tooth below the gumline. Dentist can’t do anything about it, so I’ve been referred to a specialist and wait to hear for them. It doesn’t hurt, but I have to be careful what I eat.
So today, the wife is off to meet with her cousins and I’m sat here on my own. I need to get to my bank to sort out some savings, do a little shopping, grab a coffee and maybe go for a walk afterwards. Our cruise tickets for our Norway trip next month has arrived and need to sit down and go through all the boarding questions, passports etc. Also need to sort out a few excursions I want to do.
Meanwhile, the weather is sunny but overcast, temperatures have dropped a little. If I get chance, may wander up to see the swans and geese with my bag of feed.
Have a great day all…

Good morning!
Mixture of cloud & sunshine, but dry
Nothing much planned for today. I’ll go shopping soon
I’ve offered to clean & restore a Record carpenter’s plane for a friend, so I’ll carry on with that.
Morning all – another grey overcast day – what happened to Spring!!
Sorry to hear about your dental problems Graham - reminds me I need to book an appointment for my check up!
Neighbours are off for a long weekend today so I will be back on cat duty for the next few days
Had a phone call from a friend yesterday afternoon – she was complaining that one of her neighbours had knocked on her door before 9.00 am and she had to answer still wearing her dressing gown – something she said she hates doing. I reminded her that just because someone knocks on her door doesn’t mean she has to answer!
There is a community café at the church this afternoon which I may go to – apart from that not much else planned
Take care – have a lovely day
Graham
have you booked any day trips out? they tend to sell fast, at least the better ones do
Norway as I have said before is my favourite cruise destinations going thru the Fjords
strongly suggest you take a camcorder on your holiday
Norway
Good morning one and all
It’s a sunny day here and what am I going to do ? , Im thinking on that as nothings comes to mind at the moment .,
I do have a busy weekend though but I will tell you more tomorrow ,
Enjoy your day all .
Thanks for that. Yes, I’m well aware of how excursions sell out, we have a couple already booked, but decided we wanted to do a few extra ones. Problem is, excursions run by the cruise company (P&O) tend to be a rip-off and not value for money, which is why we are trying to arrange our own.
We did this trip a few years ago, mainly because I wanted to film the aurora borealis, but it constantly rained the whole week we were gone and didn’t see anything.
Me and my camera are never far from each other ![]()
Good afternoon everyone… ![]()
Sorry to hear about your fall Bruce, I find it’s the stiffness that catches up with you the next day from the bending and twisting more than the grazes. More mature bodies aren’t used to acrobatics… ![]()
My quads were stiff yesterday after a mammoth trig hunting journey on Tuesday. I’ve run and walked the five mile route from Osmotherley to the trig point on Carlton Bank many times in the past, but the climbs seemed a lot steeper than I remember, and I didn’t realise how many steep climbs there were on the way…I managed to get to the top though…
Despite the stiffness I managed to do my walk on Thursday, Wednesday being a rest day.
And again today although it seemed a quite bit more chilly than of late. Wearing my thinner gloves was a big mistake, my hands were freezing when I arrived home.
I did manage to catch this Class 66 3000bhp (2,200kW) Diesel locomotive hurtling towards Drax power station fully laden with wood chips (probably) from Canada.
The canal looked especially peaceful as I passed over Northfield bridge…
