Going deaf in one ear

I got mine from the NHS and it’s doing fine and at no cost.

I have a pair of these Signia Stretta, on the nhs/specsavers, they’re ok.

@OldGreyFox My area NHS are not into rechargeables, so hence the batteries are FOC by the box full of 80 at a time.

Cripes Foxy. It’s the NHS for me every time unless paying for an op gets it done much quicker. My pacer would have been just 2wks quicker, so I stayed on the NHS list and saved a few grand. I even had the same cardio surgeon.

With my dodgy heart and a determination to keep running I don’t know how long it will be until the fat lady sings…you can’t take it with you…

Sounds as if I now ,after using otex half my hearing has returned in my right ear. So now booked in for a syringe ear cleaning first to discover if it is a wax buildup only.
If that doesn’t work the onto them he next stage,

Update
Day 2 using Otex ear drops. At the moment in the right ear that went completely deaf I can now hear up to 3/4 the sound of the left ear. I test this by using earphones and a sound test on the internet. still got booked in for an ear syringe as a backup incase I don’tg go back to full hearing in that ear
