You have a gift and although I’m not sure what that gift is, you should keep using it to brighten up what some detractors seem bent on dumbing down
Well written Harbie
I’m not quite sure either, LD, but thank you.
I don’t think Ghosts can see Human Beings.
They don’t have to, they can walk right through them.
They can walk though Walls, as well, except for the ones with milk Chocolate on.
Perhaps they don’t even believe in human beings, Ted.
Enjoyed that ghost story of yours Harbie, did not see that end coming either
I’m pleased about that, Dianne.
Neither did Gavin.
I was hoping you would be doing another ghost story this Christmas, Tabby. Your ghost stories are scarier than mine.
@Harbal - which one did I put up last year? I cannot remember and it would have been on the old OFF so cannot look for it.
I can’t remember either. I seem to think it was about a well to do couple who lived in a big house. It was set quite a long time ago, and I think the woman exacted some kind of revenge on her husband.
Not ringing any bells - will do a search - meanwhile … watch out for Fog!
I was thinking:
Assuming there were such things as ghosts, why should anyone be afraid of them? There’s not a lot that an entity without any physical attributes can do to anybody. That’s what I was thinking.
That’s deep for a Sunday…
Real philosophers are oblivious to the days of the week, we just keep thinking, 24/7.
I am still wondering why a ghost would have to be useful - could it not just … well , be??
I’ve always been afraid of the dark, which seems quite a rational fear to me. You don’t have complete awareness of your environment in the dark, which makes you vulnerable. Anyway, I reasoned that just because I didn’t believe in ghosts, that, in itself, would not guarantee that none would be lurking about in the bedroom once I had turned off the light. So, after years of living with this worrying thought, it just suddenly occurred to me that even if ghosts did exist, it must be a very feeble existence. Now I don’t think, I hope there aren’t any ghosts when I turn out the light; I just think, who cares?
Well it’s only a matter of curiosity, Tabby; I was just wondering if there were any point to them, that’s all.
Maybe they just haven’t told us yet!
I swear there is something in my house. I put something down, and it vanishes. Even when I make a mental note of say, my keys…“my keys are on the hall table next to the door” I think to myself.
Nope. I’ll find them on the draining board next to the sink, or in the bathroom.
I think we can assume that if they haven’t told us by now, they’re not going to tell us at all.
