This is a new 24 hour News Channel that starts on Sunday night at 8pm.
It is being launched by Andrew Neil to rival the BBC and ITV News
It will be available on Sky, Freesat, Freeview and Virgin.
Thanks Art, wil be a welcoming change.
It has Simon MCoy…I do like him. He says it as he sees it, very funny sometimes!
We only have Freeview so I doubt it will be on our telly.
Link: It will launch with a special show called Welcome To GB News, and will be available on Freeview channel 236 as well as other platforms including Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat.
Ohhhhh, Thanks will set it to record.
A further search to see if I will be able to receive this news programme on my very old Sky box, which does still receive some Sky channels, found this further information:
I will just have to wait and see if it can be received I reckon!
I know it’s on channel 515 on Sky.
The problem with my TV set-up is that I have the Sky box which accesses some Sky programmes but not all as I no longer subscribe to Sky. Most of the usual BBC, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5 programmes I do receive plus others, providing they are not subscription. This is the only way to receive TV programmes as my aerial is no good at all. so I just rely on the Sky satellite dish.
One day I will get it sorted and being fed-up with being ripped-off by paying out for a TV Licence it will be either FreeSat or Freeview.
Looking forward to that, the BBC and it seems Sky have their own agenda
Let’s hope they keep it up. If Oti Mabuse starts reading the news, I’m off.
Whose Oti?
She’s the one off strictly who now appears on virtually every BBC programme.
Going to be on the radio too apparently. Hope so. I’ve no TV licence.
Ahh got ya…big Lass…odd dress sense
I’m looking forward to it…it will be interesting to see their slant on the news…a bit like Fox News in the USA
Yep, DAB transmission only as far as I’m aware.
From what I’ve been reading, GB News won’t be a “rolling news” station like BBC News or Sky News. I don’t even know if there will be any News Bulletins or not.
Preparing to watch this.
Rum and coke. Check
Chocolate. Check
I have high hopes for this new channel.
So far. So good. Usual woke complaints calling for boycotting of advertisers who advertised their wares during the breaks. They’d have difficulty buying anything as Amazon, Kelloggs, internet providers and other large companies had advertised. They’ll be eating cold beans from a tin.
I haven’t watched it enough to judge content yet but did notice the picture quality wasn’t very good and that lip sync was out. Teething problems I expect.
Edit: Watching on Freeview 236.
