Garden Ornaments

Do you have any in your garden?

I wonder where the best place is to buy them?

I think they add character.

Any pictures of ornaments in your garden?

I have an ornament of a tortoiseshell cat in memory of my cat Cassie as she always used to lay among my flowers in the summer

That is so special,Mags,…a much loved cat,…thank you for sharing.

Lovely garden also.

Here you go then.

How cute are they!.

Thanks for sharing Rox.

Indeed, they are such a big part of our family…my friend lost her dog a little while back, she was heart broken,in fact she had to see her GP ,she was so depressed over it,he prescribed her some anti depressants…poor Jill,my heart goes out to her.

A mosaic paw for my Megan who I lost earlier this year.

I too like garden ornaments, super photo’s from all who posted. I have a lot. When I get a chance to take pics I’ll post them.

Hurry up then,I will be waiting and watching!.

I just put a load of pics on another thread the other day…let me see if I can copy them across…

I’ve got a lot of ornaments in my garden that I inherited from my Dad. I remember my Mum sitting and painstakingly painting them. They were in my parents garden for donkey’s years. I got them around 2000/2001. In that time I’ve repainted them twice.

They do add a nice splash of colour when the garden is otherwise bare.

This is part of the front garden with some odd ornaments.

Front garden again with the painted barrows, and that blue planter I made from an old pallet. In the background there are some old plastic pots I painted a few years ago, looks like they need some attention actually.

This is under the hedge in the front garden, Snow White and the 5 dwarves, there did used to be 7, I know I broke one but I think there’s another one maybe fallen over there somewhere as there were definitely 6 last time I looked. Maybe it escaped.

This is in the back garden, it’s an old bird bath stand but the bath itself got broken so now I use it as a pot stand.

This is an assortment of ornaments, the ones in the background are sort of water based and are situated around my fake pond. And I especially like my dragon at the front.

And this is at the top of the back garden (the pyramid is a defunct water feature). You can just see Laurel and Hardy hiding behind the Cordyline at the back.

I did find the other dwarf, it was Doc and he was asleep under the hedge

Nicol,…I love your creativity in your garden.

I will be copying some of them,…they make a garden so much more interesting.

Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful,very touching,thank you for sharing,Tracy.

Cast iron bird/bee drinking stations in the shape of poppies
15% of the price went to the Poppy Appeal

I bought them about 3 weeks ago
I’ve seen one blackbird drink from them
And the two wood pigeons who frequent my garden like to wet their feet in them!

We used to have a stone otter we called “Ollie” he moved from house to house. Unfortunately having to move out fast we left Ollie behind as the removal men didn’t take him. By the time we got back from the solicitors they had packed up everything and ready to go
Just got only a low bird drinking concrete plinth now oh and a stone boot left here from previous owners
