My Mam were very argumentative… also aggressive and quick to strike out if she thought there was some wrongdoing against her or the family.
Coupled with her poor English and other issues she often got into disputes that often ended in a cat fight with another mother/nieghbour…. When the Husbands/Fathers then came to have a go at her, she went for them.
Lots of mine and my brothers mates were told by their parents to keep away from us, even as kids we were embarrassed… Mind we were never bullied, and if we were…. I’d say I’m telling my mother, kids would cr*p themselves, especially the ones who lived nearby
She brought us up to stand up for ourselves…. But in today’s society, best is to walk away.
