Frasier is back

Just watched the first two episodes and thought it was quite funny.
And Nicholas Lyndhurst is in it……

I thought Nicholas Lyndhurst died of leukaemia years ago. But now I see that it was his son who died in 2020

It will be great to watch Frasier again.

Which channel is it on…?

I’ve only seen the trailer so far and didn’t think much of that.
The brotherly snobbish one up man ship made it for me.It’s going to be hard to keep up the standard without Niles.

Interesting to see that Frasier’s son told everyone his father was dead. That sounds familiar. :grinning:

I liked Nicholas Lyndhurst in “Only Fools and Horses”, especially in the early days.
I didn’t find the old Frasier sit-com funny - and I find it difficult to imagine how an ageing Lyndhurst will fit into the type of “comedy” that Frasier showcased.

Odd combo, imo - maybe seeing is believing - but I won’t go out out of way to watch it!

It’s on Paramount+ in the USA.
Probably the same here.
Better not say how I watched it!

He’s playing a lecturer at Havard….who went to Oxford with Frasier.
They share an office.
Lyndhurst plays his part perfectly.

No…but Freddie is in it.
Who knows if any old characters will make guest appearances?

It will be tragic without pernickety fusspot Niles and the elusive Maris
Frasier my absolute all time favourite comedy, I’ve watched it over and over .
None of the characters I know I love are in this revival….no Roz Nikes Martin Eddie & Daphne.

Frasier is to old a long with Nicholas Lyndhurst , yep it’s a going to be a tragedy

Having watched the first two episodes I think they have done a good job.
It’s the second episode where things really get going.
The first one is all about setting up the series.
Nicholas Lyndhursts character is going to steal the show.
He plays him perfectly.

Maybe I’ve been to harsh will give it a try

Off topic .
Looking forward to tomorrow’s cricket.

It seems David Hyde -Pierce ( who I don’t I’ve think seen in anything since Frasier) turned down the chance to reprise Niles.
So rather than recast the part they came up with Nicholas Lyndhursts character.

England should win comfortably tomorrow but I’m not sure I’ll see much of it.
There is too much sport on at the moment and I’ll have what I’m missing tonight as I’m at a concert to catch up on.
There’s NFL in London plus tomorrows Rugby.
May opt for the Channel5 highlights!

I didn’t watch the original but maybe I’ll give this a shot. I’ve been watching a lot of Paramount+ anyway.

For anyone in the US, it’s also available on Prime video and on Roku, according to justwatch.

If it is on Parmamount+ that is extra.
I have no idea where it is…I just have a way to watch things I shouldn’t!
Which I can’t put on open forum.
I also discovered sky were charging me £5 a month for Sky Go Extra…which I haven’t got!
And had never heard of.
They are not now.Sky folk might like to check their bills.
Sky Go is free.
