Football Disappointment!

Disappointed twice this weekend-firstly-Man Utd. were beaten:-( but in all honesty they deserved it-they were rubbish! and secondly Bolton, which is only about 6 miles from me, were hammered by Stoke :-(. Suppose I’ll have to back Man. City now, as they are more local than Stoke…

I really thought Man U would be in the Final, I blame it on Rooney getting himself banned for two matches:roll:
I haven’t got the same interest in the Cup Final this year, the two finalists aren’t particularly exciting to watch.:frowning:

I blamed it on Rooney as well Mags…needed Giggs too!
Don’t think I’ll be watching-will see any goals on the news!

This is an interesting one with none of the usual suspects involved now despite them all having actually tried this year. I don’t think Rooney makes that much difference to a team. Too unreliable to be the centre pin of any team. Okay he can put in the really good game now and then but far too often there is a petulant display on show.
Scholes should have been substituted. He gets tired lunges in and gets sent off. This happens on a fairly regular basis and Ferguson really should have learnt this by now. Scholes has never been the best tackler in the school anyway.

Oh dear dont know about City, I was and I suppose I am still a Manu supporter,But I am also aRugby fan, my team Is Ireland and i am a big BOD fan, also their is a Flannery plays in the team and I was born a Flannery. My Dad was a city supporter and couldnt stand Manu.I like Liverpool because they are better looking than Manu.Bye for now Annie.

I know this is not done but I was watching Arsenal the other day and what a lot of young players they have dont seem to do much long ball kicking actually play like the old playerstom Finney and likes, Nobby Stiles etc. Annie.

Sorry its me again, Dont know whats wrong with Rooney( maybe his other pastime is taking its toll, needs to get a grip, yes Giggs is brilliant. Annie.

Not really interested in football, though I watch it but Rooney seems very disappointing these days.

Agree with you Marilyno07, Rooney is disappointing at the moment, yet when he’s on top form he is great! I don’t really follow all football, but always watch when Man. Utd. or England or playing…

I do wonder about the future of Rooney. There were rumours around of drinking like his alleged hero of the time Gasgoine. It was reported that he wanted to be known as Wazza. I do hope not though. It would be sad to see him take the path of Gascoigne, Best, Marsh and well too many others into the world of a drunken has been being fed alcohol by hangers on.

Its a pity more fans don’t support their local teams, rather than the glamorous Premier League ones. I for my sins follow Lincoln City, at the moment in dire straits in League Two. Yes its wonderful seeing all the big stars, but my goodness you do pay for the privilege. Get behind the small clubs if you can, they are part of your community after all. All at a more reasonable cost.

Watched the match last night, being a woman wasnt impressed although Joe said it was fast.Anyway it didnt matter as Jose was on form, oh yes Annie likes the special one. Annie.

I think the icing on the cake was the way Messi took both his goals, absolute genius.

Fantastic Bob, I remember him from the world cup, said to Joe oh alrightI bet £1 on Barcelona, they won so asked for my winnings and he said NO, your team sank in the boat race and you havent paid me so we are quits,ah well next time eh.

Annie, knowing just how big a fan of Jose you are I was trying to think of a way to persuade him to come to the Boleyn for what remains of the season.

Sadly he is not the patron saint of lost causes and is content like a good many others to see our once noble club continue its inexorable slide toward the Championship.

From an interview I saw he seems very certain that he wants to stay with Real Madrid despite the Champions League defeat. He has yet to get through the disciplinary charges for his post-match comments but if anyone can he can.

I must admit to be rather more interested in seeing the outcome of the FA’s deliberations over QPR and the charges of breaking the now very strict third-party ownership rules over the signing of Alejandro Faurlin back in 2009.

It will be very interesting to hear what the normally vociferous Neil Warnock has to say on the subject. He was not backward in coming forward about Tevezgate.

Oh Hammer you are getting a bit technical for Annie, I know I can go on a bit but only really Manu Liverpool and I have a fancy for Arsenal… well anyone who has good looking players really, then when the game gets boring you have something to look at. Annie.

See "theres trouble at mill"didnt see the match but from the papers today(Daily Mail) it looked that the Chelsea goalhadnt gone over the line,Rednapp is right its time they had technology like Rugby then it can be shown from the TV,the players could chip in for the cost, not. Annie.

Liverpool didn’t have too much trouble beating Newcastle 3-0 yesterday and you do get the feeling that better things may be round the corner for the reds. Another goal for Maxi Rodrigues, Dirk Kuyt too with a penalty and good old Luis Suarez weighed in. Andy Carrol got a few minutes, coming off the bench but it was all over by then.

This QPR fiasco seems to have arrived about 2 years late lol but yes Hammer, it will be interesting to see what Neil Warnock has to say.

BTW: The pies were good yesterday

Looks like my team is doomed to relegation League 1

Who are they Mags?
