Flirting - What's it all about?

I’m sure we’ve all done it, I know I have and haven’t quite hung up my boots…yet! :open_mouth:
It’s something almost impossible to define, flirting comes in many shades and colours, experiences past and present and perhaps to come? It’s something I was pondering after logging on to the forum this morning…

Seems an increasingly perilous activity nowadays, with cases of accusations of sexism, harassment in the workplace etc.

Not to mention a knock on the door from the old bill shortly before sunrise! :open_mouth::dizzy_face:

But let’s not be entirely dismissive… flirting is fun, when the only emoji is your real face…

I never flirt, cannot see the point of it personally and I don’t find it flattering, just embarassing and cheesy

Probably when I was young and inexperienced but, having learnt that some men think you want to sleep with them if you smile and say “Good morning”

It’s better to let them know you’re not the slightest bit interested, then we all know where we stand

I’m not entirely sure a polite ’ good morning ’ is loaded’ with improper intentions? Open to misinterpretation perhaps under certain circumstances.
My postman clearly understands, otherwise no thank you bottle of plonk for him this Christmas! :rage::christmas_tree:

Flirting is ok if you know how, and what you’re doing. If you try too hard it can seem boring and cheesy.:smirk:

Och I’m too old now to flirt and can’t really remember how…so…if I said
“Come up and see me sometime big Boy”…would that be classed as flirting?
:innocent: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Flirting is natural and intuitive…no YouTube tutorials required!
Not yet anyway!

Yes, flirting is a lift to your day, and harmless if you pick the right person to engage with! In younger years, I didn’t do the flirting, men did. Now that we are older, men have pot bellies, lots of unkempt facial hair, balding, and suspenders…they do appreciate a little bit of playing. I think it boosts their day, and it certainly boosts mine to get a smile or two!

And I was just about to sit down and contemplate my who’s who for this year’s Christmas cards!

But you’re not balding with lots of unkempt facial hair …we know…we’ve seen you!
Whereas me …
