Finally made it!

Had trouble coming back in for some reason. Computers. wonderful as they are, are not infallible!
Me? Male. Divorced many years ago. Multi-grandfather (all of my kids have kids!) Reached 69 this year and have stopped counting.
Dog lover (current associate is an 83 lb German Shepherd/ Rottweiller cross, more black and tan than grey) who looks threatening but is as soft as warm ice-cream.
I have discovered that there is a problem with retiring; you never get a day off! I run a taxi service for my kids and their kids, to school, work, etc. Like a lot of us older ones, I suspect. The pension doesn’t go as far as I would like, but the alternative is worse. Love to all.

Hi Roger :039: welcome to the forum!

Hope you enjoy it here as much as we do!

Hello Roger, welcome to the forum…

Thanks, Mags.
There are times when I get bored; usually at night when I can’t sleep! You are possibly familiar with that situation? With all the repeats on TV in the early hours of the morning, we should be allowed to use last year’s TV licence again! It is nice to have someone to talk to sometimes. My dog is asleep on my bed at the moment, so I can’t settle down without a wrestling match with him to get mack in myself!

Welcome Roger! :023:

Glad you got in finally

Thanks, Cassie.
In the wee small hours of the night when I can’t sleep, sometimes it is nice to have someone to talk to. Just now, I’m watching a repeat of CSI Miami. OK, but I have seen it before. When the yawns start, I guess it is time to close the hatches and turn the lights off. Later! Cheers, Roger.

Thanks, Azz. Yes. I finally out-thought the computer. They are clever, but they aren’t too smart!

Hello Roger :041: welcome back to the forum:039: look forward to seeing pics of your dog. You sound as though you have a very fulfilling life with all the grandchildren you have! I hate retirement - I miss the buzz of travelling back and forward to Glasgow and having a natter to folk! Still I have more time to be with my two parrots and my lovely Loki, my 4 year old pup!!

Take care.

Hi Roger, and welcome.

Hi, warm welcome, good to meet you…

Hi, warm welcome, nice to meet you…

Hi, Moli,

Does the avatar with the motorcycle mean that you own one?
I have four, all old ones (50 years plus) needing restoration. That was a project for when I “retired” which I haven’t got around to starting yet! I’ll see if I can get some photo’s of Zorro (he’s my dog) from the mobile phone onto the system. Catch you all later, and thanks for the welcome. Roger.

Hi to you all; Brandykins and Orangutan, most recent of the threads, especially. I know you can’t all see it, but I’m blushing! From obscurity to fame (or is it infamy?) in so short a time! Take care. Roger.

Hello Roger and welcome to the forum

Lindasmum. Welcome.

Thanks ! Nice to know there are people like you around !

Hello :039: nice to meet you-hope you enjoy the forum

Hello Roger, . . welcome back.

Hello Roger and welcome

Many thanks to you all for the greetings! If I can keep this machine free of infections (I have bought AVG’s Computer penicillin) I hope to be able to stay in touch. Catch you all later.

Hi Roger, welcome to the forum. I had to smile at the picture of you trying to get into bed with the dog in the way, I know that feeling well.

I hope you enjoy the forum.

Hi! I would guess you have a large dog too, then? This one is ten years old now, a bit “set in his ways” and knows just about how far he can drive me and still get away with it! We usually have a friendly argument about it. At least when I finally get him off the bed, I can climb in, and it is warm under the duvet! Then he goes and sleeps on the rug next to the radiator.
