Seriously, Dad’s Army went on too long, way past it’s use-by date, like a lot of Perry & Croft comedy, it stopped being funny after a few series.

Well that’s the thing, when to call it a day I suppose. I don’t want to drift off topic but the same can be said of bands and their albums. The Ramones spring to mind…

Indeed, but some bands/artists have late career upsurges and make music as good as they did when they were young(er) or replaced personnel.eg. Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones.

I like Bob Dylan songs when somebody else sings them! :+1:

Strike

JK Rowling’s compelling crime series, with Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger.

I’ve never read a JK Rowling book, you can keep your Harry Potter, I ain’t a kid. But when Strike came on tv with an episode titled Career Of Evil, I wondered if it had a Blue Oyster Cult connection, happily for me it did, so I watched all the rest of them, they’re pretty good.

I recently watched “Remarkably Bright Creatures”, latest film starring Sally Field. I think she is a great actress. Love her films.Very emotional film and evokes a “feel good” too.
