A request was made for me to expand or share my other interests. So here is one.
Most people believe the extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by the meteor strike in the Yucatan peninsula. In which I agree with, just my opinion.
But I’ve just recently had my understanding of the effect expanded. Before I understood that the nuclear winter that followed was the main cause of the extinction.
But, it’s been explained in more detail to me on things I never even took into consideration. For example the heat wave produced but the impact, vaporized everything within hundreds of miles and followed buy the nuclear winter. Basics, right! Additional thing I never took into consideration, the impact caused such a wave in the earth plate, it broke dinosaurs legs. It has such an effect it jolted the planets Continental plates that caused volcanic eruptions around the world at the same time releasing gases around the world. Also, at the same time causing tsunamis all around the world. That is something I never took into consideration before.
Then back to my understanding, the meat eater had plenty to eat from the deaths of other dinosaurs and later as the herbivore dinosaurs died from starvation and than the meat eating dinosaurs run out of food after they turned on each other. Any the same time, supposedly new diseases were developing and spreading through the dinosaurs.
