My query is why the majority of the American public are not speaking up and forcing all sitting members to oust Mr Trump.
Why is there not a major revolt?
Seems to me that the majority of the members of congress agree with President Trump and his so often noted, illegal activities.
How much more skullduggery has to occur before action will be taken?

The way Trump behaves is like a Bully ,Most won’t stand up to bullies for fear of being bullied themselves .Look how Trump calls those people who demonstrate ,terrorist,
What gets my goat is when King Charles and our Government entertained him, bowing to him .

He is turning America into Russia, he wants to be a dictator and is implementing policies to enable him to do so, he wants to control how the states vote saying it should be overseen by him, in a country that has stood for democracy, in some cases at the cost of many young Americans, he want’s total control, even going against the constitution…

The majority of the population seem to be allowing him to do as he wants. That is what I do not understand.

Perhaps you misunderstand the nature and thinking of many, many Americans. This thinking is developed, perhaps honed, from decades of propaganda, misinformation and reducing education to the bare minimum. More, the Republican party has, at a local level as well as state & federal level, done so much to support this mindset. Plus made voting very difficult.
Edit: add in - also the role of the christian evangalist lobby promoting the republican right
The result is a disengaged population who don’t really understand what is going on, react against things they are told to react to, act on prejudices built & stoked by the media they access, believe the biased commentary - or are largely unaware.
Examples I’ve seen in recent weeks. A soy bean farmer who doesn’t understand why the prices he’s now getting have crashed. The person commentating on the recent shootings by ICE in Minneapolis and blaming the victims. The person interviewed who is convinced it is only undocumented people who have committed bad crimes that are being taken by ICE.

What will they do if martial law is introduced and elections are postponed indefinitely?
Some members here think I am a naive agitator who soaks up everything I read from “The Left”.
I am an outsider looking in.
What I am is incredibly sad as to the direction of the US and the citizens caught up in the melee.
I agree its sad, even tragic. But there has been many, many studies done about the tendency of the under-educated to prefer authoritarian rule of a strong & charismatic leader to the complexities & pace of democracy. And many see the actions against “others” (incomers, non-english speakers, undocumented, different coloured skin, different sexuality) as being ok. Such excessive actions are ok as does not affect me, it is needed to get rid of these others, what these others are doing is obviously wrong, the illegality of the actions against these others is surely exaggerated, it can’t be wrong if its law enforcement doing it. So my guess is that martial law would be welcomed by many. And who needs elections and democracy when you’ve the strong leader you like in place already? Besides, elections risk another stolen election by the communists and gays that run the left.
Don’t think this can’t happen in the UK. I’ve seen commentary along the lines of the above from people in the UK.

Whatthe actual cause of Americans not standing up to Trump is this. FOOD. Bland, full of chemicals to dull the american brain and loads of it. so much that doggy bags are given readily so eating can continue at home.
When your stomach is full standing up is harder.
