I was given “The Bird” today for sounding my car horn at a pedestrian who blindly walked onto the road in front of me whilst her head was down peering into her phone.
Isn’t that some people’s salute? 
Hasn’t happened to me in a long time. If I’m remembering correctly (maybe with rose colored glasses since it was so long ago), I thought it was mostly funny. People who know they’re wrong giving affirmation that they know they’re wrong.

Over here we tend to use two fingers to show our displeasure.
The topic brought back memories of this fella, quite big news at the time as I remember.
