I’m glad you said that Enfys, I’ve been trying to work that one out too! Then tonight, there was the other lesbian making whoopee with her ex-husband on the sofa too, followed by the chap in question being unable to make it happen with his girlfriend shortly afterwards! What a carry on.

Apropos the Vanessa being a lesbian storyline, she had developed feelings for her friend, but never actually acted on them so I do not think this qualifies her as being a lesbian. As for Ali, I think it was a combination of excess booze, and the deep emotional crisis she was experiencing over Sean, creating a strong need for comfort (hence the cuddle/hug). From there, familiarity and ‘muscle memory’ took over.
As for people either being lesbian or not, I think this is a grey area. Emotions and emotional attachments are funny things, women more than men, can be governed by their emotions which can result in a close friendship developing into more. Sometimes this is reciprocated, as with Ali and Ruby, and other times it is not, as with Vanessa and Rhona. Even when it is reciprocated and a relationship develops, this does not necessarily mean a person is lesbian for life though, that relationship could end and the girl/woman find she never feels that ‘pull’ towards another woman.

Indeed! I follow Emmerdale on FB and soooooo many people are saying the same thing…storylines drag on forever so they start to get fed up.
Another thing which seems to have been forgotten is the fire at the ‘Big House’ which Declan started and where Megan got badly injured.

Charity, of course. Don’t forget she’s been having some unexplained episodes of feeling unwell. There’s the seeds of doubt planted in his mind, he knows what a scheming cow she is (two of a kind), there was the pre nup, his call to a solicitor recently…
He’s letting Megan take the rap while he bides his time. And it comes to a head this week. Hurrah.
And he wouldn’t know Megan would visit the house and go into the kitchen to touch the wine bottle.
