During all my drinking years I never once had a Stout

No doubt about that.
Would drink anything when it came to it.
When I was skint, cheap cask wine, called “2 buck chuck”

I have added a new beer to my stable of go tos. Charlton Draught used to be available on tap at most Australian clubs or pubs along side the state beer (ie XXXX in Queensland, Victoria Bitter down south etc) but on my recent trip the only common beer was Carton Dry which actually wasn’t bad at all.

Now that is a very pleasant & under rated tipple.

The English museum, is also very good too.

I have not seen Castlemaine XXXX in the UK for several years. It was a pleasant drink on a hot summer day. Especially served with a top of lemonade.

Still in my occasional beer days, I don’t recall ever having a stout, even when in Europe. Probably couldn’t have handled the alcohol content anyway!
