Yep, might have to order the DVD from Amazon Rose
Maybe because the place was a disappointment. There’s damn all there that’s worth another visit.
True, like the claim that the wavy flag on the moon would prove it can only have been caused by the wind on earth since there’s no wind on the moon to make it fly.
Didn’t they find some non stick frying pans?
No, but they spotted a few Flying Saucepans!!!
So it seems that the flag wasn’t fluttering in the wind at all. NASA just didn’t pack a steam iron on the lunar module…
They found the non-stick but not the pans.
No need for that. They bought a normal flag in a high street shop for $5, probably made of Nylon.
Oh yes it did Swim…The technology we all use today was foundered back in the sixties, seventies and eighties, it takes a long time to get it to the masses. There are things being developed today that we will never see or hear about.
Interesting read @Chilliboot, that video showing our “marks” on the moon is really fascinating.
That’s the essence of fundamental research that it takes time but will be beneficial to man in many cases. A shame that philistines like Trump and his cronies want to put an end to it.
Quite so Dachs…
All crumpled and rumpled, no wind or hint of a breeze, people’s imaginations can run amok if it leads them to believe what they want to believe.
Yes, and some people just get a kick out of distorting reality, misleading information, “brainwashing” into believing something different. Suspense and enigmas attract audiences.
I do believe you’re right Rose!
I’m not sure that’s entirely pertinent to the Apollo 11 mission Foxy
If you set something in motion in low gravity and no atmosphere then it will continue to move for a very long time. It’s just physics and conservation of energy.
The ultimate prove that they landed is the laser reflector that thy left on the surface that anyone with the right equipment can use to measure the distance to the moon’s surface.
Also the fact that the USSR, who would have been keen to prove it a fake at the time, didn’t do so.
Cor Blimey, never realised there were so many NASA Scientists on here
The collective mind of OFC continues to amaze you.
Amazed is one of a few adjectives that are experienced
Here it was just that a telescopic pole has been extended along the top in order to make the flag fly proudly. The fact that the flag was not straightened out completely was interpreted as proof that it was caused by the wind that only blows on earth from which it was concluded that the mission was a fake.
