What baffled me was the comparatively simple code and hardware which the whole mission was based on. A standard smartphone used today would have been regarded as a supercomputer. From all we know about human nature it can’t have been a hoax. If it had been, someone of those thousands of people involved in the missions directly or indirectly would have spilled the beans. There always is.

If it was a hoax Foxy then it must have been incredibly elaborate. What of the subsequent Apollo missions, hoaxes too?
Nope I don’t buy it, consider the ill fated Apollo 13 mission.

Perhaps Apollo 13 was the only proper attempt? And failed…

Nope.

The technology simply did not exist at that time to fake it, we were still at the stage of wobbly TV Sets.

Regardless if you’re a believer or not this might be worth a watch. I saw it at the cinema back in 1978 so my memory is a bit hazy. I remember it was both entertaining and thought provoking.

Good film that one, does make you think!
The same old question keeps coming up again amongst skepticals :, “If they really went, why did they stop going, and haven’t been since?” and the usual answer is " too expensive", and “waste of resources” to say it in a simple manner There were many protests anti “moon landings” I believe - civil rights activists.
I like to believe it was all real, how could they hoax all that, over fifty years ago, without today’s technology?
On the other hand, what about the story of the waving flag?
