morticia im right there with you. dextrous said euler and i still dont get it. lincolnshire planck now?? is that a number or a brand. d00d centimetre kilometre i need a smaller ruler
well Grove might be pulling your planckā¦
Sometimes itās nice just to have your planck pulled for a whileā¦

It did cross my mind ⦠but to what end?
Whatever the reason it got people posting which is not a bad thing on a forum.
Isnāt it what forums are all about? And do we really know why people post on forums.
Some post because they are lonelyā¦
Some post to tell their story and read other peoples stories.
Some post looking for answers to questions, like grovewalker has done.
Some post just to annoy people and wind them upā¦
Itās been my experience that misunderstandings are the main cause for confrontation on the forumā¦Itās always best to try and look at the other persons point of view.
But if people get wound up easily, perhaps forums are not right for them.
Sometimes people tell jokes and/or just want to make members laugh.
And some just want to make friendsā¦
But in most circumstances, just ask google⦠![]()
That was wonderful Foxy. ![]()
iām really enjoying this thread.
Iāve checked on the applications of Planckās constant. It might not best apply in this drainage challenge. It appears to be related to determining the energy of a photon - you multiply the frequency of the photon by this constant and you get its energy. Simples but not much help here. Itās quite a small number after all.
Yes. I think, in your weary state, you got a bit confused and meant the Fokker-Planck equation and its use in hydrology.
Easily done.
Thanks being understanding. I made a right Fokker of it all.
Edit - obviously I am very familiar with this equation and its applications, as we all are. But as a quick refresh I thought Iād just do a quick glance over itās uses and variants. I can hear the gasps of disappointment that I actually felt the need to do this: Not surprisingly it was the bit about probability density functions that Iād forgotten. We have all done that at some time or other Iām sure.
In statistical mechanics and information theory, the FokkerāPlanck equation is a partial differential equation that describes the time evolution of the probability density function of the position or velocity of a particle under the influence of drag forces and random forces.
That better now is it not?
annies hang on am i pulling someones planck?? i swear i just got lost when lincolnshire said that word. your the one making the jokes work tho. oldgreyfox yeah im still the confused guy asking questions. dextrous wait now its a fokker planck. i need a smaller brain not a smaller ruler

Huh ⦠thath wath justh my lispth.
At least youāre not getting confused with the magic dragon, Puff. He lived down by the sea. I bet there are lots of puddles down his neck of the woods.
Plonckaās being pulled.
