You obviously undecided which option to take to solve your puddle issue. Have you given any thought about going down to your local builders yard and talking to people who can advise you on a professional basis. All we can do on here is give you some idea as to a possible solution. OK cost comes into the equation,it depends on what you expect to pay against DIY.
I have a huge block paving drive
which does also get puddles but quickly goes. Yes weed do grow between but every 2/3 years my Karcher K5 pressure washer with a patio cleaner fitting quickly gets rid of in a very short time.
I bought a longer hose from machine to gun
So maybe this is worth considering as an alternativer
May be a suggestion for Spittie as well. That drive to clean takes a couple of hours with my Karcher K5 "or higher* pressure washer (K2 up to K4 not powerful enough)
It just blast away weeds, my neighbour had huge weeds in his drive and this K5 obliterated them in no time at all. Even he could not beielve it umtil I showed him

It isn’t actually, its quite cathartic actually and gives a sense of satisfaction, there will come a time when getting on ones knees will be impossible, but, if one can afford tarmac, tarmac it is!

spitfire is that plastic?? looking at the picture those white sticks inside look kinda flimsy for a truck. i was thinking concrete with a metal grate on top not a plastic crate under the garden. still stuck on what SIZE concrete one knocks out for both 3 inch AND 4 inch on the SAME box tho
They are plastic and strong and modular, having said that, we’ve never had a truck in the back garden as yet, also, what is the fixation with pipework, what ever the size?, had your driveway not got itself a depression, the rainwater would be happily draining away and any remedial work just a pipe dream

I can only assume that it would be similar to the two sewage boxes that I have on my drive.
They are covered by a strong cast iron lid that has withstood transit size vans running over them.
Underneath is a brick square with pipes entering and exiting. Because it is made of bricks it can be customised to suit the size of pipes leading to it. You will need a good bricklayer and a hundred bricks. Will you do the mixing? I did for the bloke building my garage to save money and time, but I was 50 years younger then.
oldgreyfox wait so your saying build a brick square under the drive with a cast iron lid on top?? that sounds like hiring a bricklayer and mixing a bunch of mortar. i was hoping for one of those premade concrete boxes with the punch outs already molded in. spitfire those plastic ones arent for trucks anyway. still stuck on what SIZE of the premade concrete ones knocks out for both 3 inch AND 4 inch on the SAME box with a metal grate the garbage truck wont squash

Dunno Grovewalker, I’m not familiar with them… 
Just did a search and came up with these.
Perhaps they come with 4" knockouts and adaptors to convert them to a 3" outlet.
Just a thought…

annieS wait is that from the hampton page oldgreyfox linked or are you just giving me a hard time. i looked at hamptonconcrete and they say sizes to fit any need but i still cant tell if ONE box knocks out for BOTH 3 inch and 4 inch or if those are seperate. and do they even sell a metal grate top thatll take a garbage truck or is that just sidewalk stuff
Please explain the need for two pipes - surely its a drain so the pipe only goes ‘out’.

Please explain why you can’t knock out a 4 inch holes and cement round the 3 inch pipe to create a seal. Note - most likely you will need a spot of cement for a 4 inch pipe in a 4 inch hole and the knock out circle will not be perfect.
Please type ‘cast iron grate for walkway’ into any search engine. FFS.
