Google Maps does some strange things at times. The Hume Highway runs between Sydney and Melbourne, I recall when Google maps would take you off the Hume and send you on a detour via Wagga Wagga to get you to Melbourne.

I suppose Google maps might have let Mark Thatcher off the hook, had they been around of course :wink:
