Unfortunately, far too many young females have little choice but to ‘hustle’ just to survive and in today’s world, that is unnecessary considering the wealth many others enjoy. Some boys are not much better off either.

Life was very different in the 60’s Danny. All kinds went on but you could generally feel safe wherever you went , late or all night was still safe, quite a different World now.
…Yes there were Bad Gangs but they were Controlled a lot with Rivals Gangs rather than just people in general…Always been prostitutes and drugs dealing…extortion from owners of cafe’s, bar’s and such,went on in the cities more than anywhere else…

Believe it or not I spent my early 20s in a neighborhood not to much different than that. I lived in South Central Los Angeles in the 80s. I was in a predominately gang area, but the rent was all I could afford while attending school. So, I am very familiar with the goings on in such places.

Was not where I lived as just pretty quiet, with hardly a car in sight.
The most lively thing that happened was when I had to leave one very Local High School to go to another,two bus’s for the trip and no coming home anymore for Lunch Break…
I worked in London at 15 it was the most exciting time,but it was West End and not East End where there could be Trouble…

I’ve been lucky to experience all the ups and downs of society. Meaning I’ve lived in poverty, I was raised middle class, and I turned out to be upper middle class (is that even a thing?) I am as Minx pointed out in one post street smart. I would say I am probably as street smart as I am formerly educated. Better. It also means I 've spent time in as many bad places as good.

Definately, yes! Some working girls used to rush straight from the chorus line for a swift change before going to to pick up punters again. Anything to make ends meet. Some of the girls even had at least one child at home somewhere relying on mum’s income to eat etc. Without the likes of the Krays, some working girls would suffer more than they did with them. Life could be harsh treading the boards.

That is almost understood…My late Dad was bought up middle class and I was 100% working class.
Along the way My Sister is very Middle Class in nearly every way…like me she can have a quick Temper and did last I heard Swear and Throw things…I do sometimes but usually just a tea towel or water works well…
Hose was my nickname when we lived in Bexhill-on-Sea… 
I will tell you a hose story…maybe!

My father was middle class and went to boarding school where he was profoundly unhappy . He married my mother who came from a poor mining family in Lancashire I suppose as professions we are middle class or at least were before we retired .
Now we are pension class.
