Donald Trump accused of falsifying records to conceal crimes regarding Stormy Daniels hush money

It is rather unfortunate that this is the first charge to be made against Trump when you consider the other investigations going on (the storming of the White,House the attempt to change the votes etc)

It is a serious offence in itself but compared to the others than may be laid it is small fry. It is worth remembering that the only charge they could get Al Capone on was tax fraud.

Trump is the master of delay so the world’s favourite President won’t be campaigning for the Presidency from behind bars.

I think if you look at the charges made against Trump on the hush money case or the corporate fraud case that there is only reference to the illegal activity and no reference to Trump’s politics. How (apart from your own political preferences influencing your thinking) do you reach the (unfounded by you, just claimed) conclusion that this is all purely political.
Please, more evidence and less empty conjecture.

I think I’ve more than described my feelings on the Trump fiasco and I’m not prepared to keep posting evidence so you can dismantle it in your usual arrogant way. You have access to all the media that I do, but you elect to believe the things you read in the MSM without considering ‘What if’

Donald Trump is the best modern day president America ever had, and if they know what’s good for them they will vote him in for another term. Everybody complains about their elected politicians or party, but when someone comes along who will turn the orthodox political system on it’s head you retire into the safety of the conventional. I wish we had a Trump or Putin heading up our government instead of the money orientated wet blankets that we currently have.

The postal voting in America was a fix, and just look who they put in. An old bloke who couldn’t find his ass with both hands in a darkened room, and Obama’s puppet. You might as well have had Obama on the voting sheet. He was instrumental in the sabotage of the Nord Stream undersea pipeline…He admitted it some months earlier but has largely been ignored by the MSM who were quick to blame Putin. He withdrew from Afghanistan leaving billions of dollars of ordnance to the Taliban. Not to mention the people of Afghanistan who he left to die.

In a strange way I am impressed by the resilience of your believe in Trump in the face of all the facts that demonstrate him to be a charlatan, thief and conman. And that’s on top of his distasteful views on women or his friendship with Epstein. And his dismal track record whilst president.
But knock yourself out and praise the orange one to the roof tops.

Hi

I take it that he didn’t get a Valentine’s from you. :grinning:

Seems that America has become a banana Republic.

Two weeks ago, Donald Trump called on his supporters to protest against his expected indictment. Now it’s happened, how are they responding?

The news of Trump’s criminal charges spread like wildfire online but getting a complete sense of the conversations reacting to it can be hard. By getting inside US voters’ social media feeds and joining the internet groups populated with Trump’s most devoted fans, we can better see how all of this is unfolding. That’s where the BBC’s “undercover voters” come in - social media accounts belonging to five fictional characters from across the US political spectrum, based on data from Pew Research. These five profiles give us a snapshot of what US voters are seeing on social media, both on mainstream platforms and in the recesses out of the reach of most of us. After searching for Trump-related material on their feeds, three key themes emerge.

Let’s start with the mainstream, right-wing profiles.

For our right-leaning voters Britney and Larry, their feeds are dominated by pro-Trump messages. Echoing the language of the former president, there are defiant statements about a “witch hunt” and how Democrats have “weaponised the legal system”. These include tweets from Republican politicians, commentators and other pro-Trump accounts who are using this as a rallying call for his 2024 presidential bid. Some accounts call for him to be reinstalled to the White House now and there is talk of supporters feeling sick to their stomachs. Unlike Trump’s original post on Truth Social predicting his arrest, which called for protests, the posts these accounts are seeing have generally avoided direct calls to action.

On the sites like Telegram where Trump’s most committed devotees gather, there’s a different mood.

This is where the sprawling, unfounded QAnon conspiracy theory thrives - it says the former president is waging a secret war against elite, Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media. True to that, there’s much chatter of how the indictment is part of a plot by the so-called Deep State. There is angry and sometimes violent rhetoric directed at the government, along with cryptic calls to action. Messages include “Here We Go!!” and “Their turn is coming soon”. The more extreme messages call for followers to “Kill the Deep State” but there is no visible evidence of plans to riot.

Several posting on Telegram fear there is a sinister plot enticing them to take action and be arrested. They say there is a bigger plan where Trump will emerge victorious - if they can stay out of trouble.

While the chatter on the main channels seems to be absent of specific calls to arms, there are smaller, private groups we cannot see where a very committed few could pose the greater risk.

How this “chatter” develops will be “interesting” …

lol That’s the thing about Trump inciting paranoia. It’s hard to take action when one is feeling paranoid.

He withdrew because Trump had set the date and agreed to it when in office and Biden was afraid any delay would cause even more violence.Interestingly Trump negotiated with the Taliban not the Afghan government. Not that actual facts that contradict your view of the world will make any difference.

One dictator and one would -be dictator.I’m afraid our bromance is over.Irreconcilable differences. :grinning:

That’s quite fickle and disappointing of you Mr Smith…
You do realise that our opinions won’t make a scrap of difference in the grand scheme of things…

In 2021, U.S. President Joe Biden said in his statement regarding his affirmation of the Afghanistan withdrawal, “The buck stops with me.”

I suspect that you’ve still not got hold of a copy of ‘Kleptocracy’. Yet you prefer to avoid traditional news sources. If your choice of education is dodgy social media rubbish and not verified information, that’s up to you. But there is little doubt in the real world that Putin is a poisonous, corrupt dictator.

A defeatist too. :grinning:

Former President Donald Trump and porn star Stormy Daniels have spent years battling in court. Now, they’re selling duelling T-shirts.

Trump’s campaign sent a fundraising email soon after the charges were reported.

“This Witch Hunt will BACKFIRE MASSIVELY,” he said in the email. “With your support, we will write the next great chapter of American history - and 2024 will forever go down as the year we saved our Republic (1).”

The message asked people for money, offering a T-shirt with the words “I stand with Trump” for donations of $47 (£38) or more, which his campaign team claimed were “flying off shelves”.

The Trump campaign says it raised more than $4m in the first 24 hours after news of the indictment broke.

But the case has brought a windfall for Ms Daniels, too.

In a tweet on Thursday after charges were announced, Ms Daniels - whose real name is Stephanie Clifford - said orders for “#Teamstormy merch/authograph[s]” were “pouring in”. “Thank you to everyone for your support and love!” she wrote. Her website features a range of merchandise, including $20 T-shirts with the words “#TEAMSTORMY”, signed posters of herself posing in lingerie, and a $30 dog chew toy that looks like Mr Trump.

The porn star has over a million followers on Twitter, as well as a Facebook fan club page with more than 2,000 members, many of them ardent critics of Mr Trump.

(1) Trump has never been known for understatement …

Ah yes, I forgot the strathmore news agency was the only place to obtain real news…
:flushed:

Not news (nor re-hashed social media baseless theories) me old anti-everything fruit, such books give you information and insight. Something closer proper research than whatever you seem to be limited to. Come back to me when you’ve read it.

This hands Trump a victory in 2024. Priceless… the are now scraping the bottom of the barrel with NYC state law prosecutions

Even Nixon didn’t get this treatment.

Just remember, Trump got more votes than any incumbent President in 2020 and an increase in his base of 10 million. He got more votes than Obama, the first black president … that base will increase again by another 10 million votes because of this stupid stunt.
