Sad. My first memory of him is when he was in The Dirty Dozen.

I remember him in the movie MASH…and other shows. He was amazing in The Hunger Games. RIP Mr. Sutherland.

Donald S was a gent. And a superb actor. I prefer to remember him in classic films such as “The Eagle Has Landed”, “Klute”, “Dirty Dozen” - but not more recent stuff. Which I did not see.
He added a soft, gentle, Irish leaning to his performances. So much more telling and impactful than some of the grittier modern actors.
And he gave us Kieffer. Ok, some detractions.

I always associate this film with Donald Sutherland, incredibly dark and atmospheric. Actually that’s tonight’s viewing sorted. It’s the type of film that you really have to be in the right mood to enjoy and appreciate.
