Does anyone here like nice jewellery?

You really get away with buying gifts for other guys’s wives and girlfriends :astonished:? Mighty generous of you, Bruce!

Y’all know I had my ears pierced just a couple of years ago so earrings are still new to me. I’ve never worn much jewelry, but I have several nice things that I received as gifts or inheritance. I was thinking just the other day that it is a shame that such pretty things are wasted on my aging frame. Perhaps I should pass along those pieces sooner than later so I can enjoy my daughter and nieces wearing them instead! Have any of you done that?

I wish, I meant my various wives and girlfriends.

I haven’t really got much jewellery and have to admit its not something that’s high on my list of wants…the Yorkshire in me looks at how tiny a ring or something is and then how much it costs…not happening

I have Swarovski and other costume stuff but not precious gems and gold…not really my thing.

I like Swarovski - have used a lot of their products when jewellery making - won’t be buying any more as they are relocating to China. The only really ‘precious’ stuff I have is what I brought back from India (see post 46) and that spends most of it’s time in the Bank - which is sad.

Yes I saw those posts the things you bought there sound lovely…thats the thing though about it being stored in the bank…if I had precious stuff I would be too scared to wear it

Funny but serious story here…when in Jerusalem I had what looked like a silver chain with a diamond snatched from around my kneck…It was actually costume jewellery from Next so a disappointed thief  and another one when we were burgled a few years ago the thieves took a Gucci watch…it cost me £7 on a beach in Turkey…so funny:)
