I am generally spot on! We had a young Mum move into the village and she was all over everybody and getting involved in everything she could very quickly.
She asked me if my husband would repair something for her (it’s his job) and was just so over the top telling me everything she could do and how talented she was. I knew she was a wrong ‘un and warned my husband to get payment straight away. She told him she would drop the money in, which of course she didn’t and if I saw her in the village she would just blank me. A few months later she still hadn’t paid up and then I saw in the village mag that the kids drama group organiser had written that this woman was no longer involved with the group. On enquiring I was told she had pinched a load of money from them. She never did pay my husband but believes karma will get her one day.
Interesting topic. I think in real life it is relatively easy to sort the wheat from the chaff. We chat to people socially and you can judge. I think we have a pretty good bunch. On the internet? Can be debatable.
No longer the gullible open hearted girl I once was , still open hearted but more discerning and wiser . Nothing surprises me about human beings anymore . I keep an open mind now .
