Was it anything like these ones?

It would have been worth a couple of bob now if it was!

I wonder how many Hot Wheels were sold over the decades. Certainly millions.
Had a quick look.

Today, more than 16 Hot Wheels cars are sold per second across the globe and more than 6 billion have been produced to date, Dec 2022.

Grief Bruce you really have jogged a memory there.

I had one of these, it had a metal bomb that could be released by pressing a little button on the side of the plane.

I also had the Dinky Spitfire, I think it had a little chamber at the front of the fuselage to turn the propeller.

On thing I am certain of these toys were solid, real quality!

View Master! Great memories of that. I wished I could put my own pictures in.

Of course, now we can. It’s not the same. :upside_down_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Talking of things visual I bet almost every kid had one of these during the 60’s.
I used mine as a torch to read comics under the bedclothes after lights out… until I got caught

I don’t remember that one, but vaguely remember something similar.

These toys are making me feel old. For people who grew up with Gameboys and VR, this must seem like it comes out of the dark ages.
