loved that time in my life
My son plays the drums and bass. the (new) neighbours used to complain but he only played drums for half an hour during the day.
He is part of his ship’s band where he used to be drummer but now plays bass when a better drummer joined the ship
@Bretrick Some time ago, during my more flexible years, yes, I did stand in and play drums when my drummer was out of action; that was providing someone else could take my lead guitarist position. Now I’m too old and lack the stamina
You have had a very interesting and varied life.
I’m the type that has never waited for life to unfold in front of me. I’ve always put myself out and chased it; well, that was until old age crept up on me and threw its drag anchor around my neck in the form of arthritis and trapped nerves in my spine.
Getting old sucks big time😉
Oddly, I do - or did. I played roto Tri Toms and the snare in high school, when we had too many flautists (and I loathed playing Stars and Stripes forever on piccolo). I was 85 pounds soaking wet, and those drums weighed about as much as I did, but I loved being able to change the notes while playing.
We have enough to form a band on this forum!
No but I am very good on the fiddle
You know what they say…
Q. What do you call people who hang around with musicians?
A. Drummers
LOL … and what do you call someone who hangs around with bums?
