“You Win Again” is a 1987 song written by the Bee Gees.
Released as a single in late 1987, it marked the start of the Bee Gees comeback, becoming a No. 1 hit in many European countries, including topping the UK Singles Chart–their first to do so in over eight years, and made them the first group to score a UK No. 1 hit in each of three decades: the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
Bee Gees - You Win Again 1987
One of my favorite groups, always has been since the late 60s.
Classic, and meaningful songs, no drums to drown the sound or lyrics out.
This was my last CD of them in 1997.
A different set of songs, yet still captivating to me.
Still Waters
I am not a big fan, I saw them in Sydney before they went to Europe and made a name for themselves, I think it was just after they released Spicks and Specks. It was in the mid to late 60s can’t remember exactly when or where.
Yes, they let their music do the talking so to speak, a rare thing, no image as such to peddle, just music beautifully written.
A great group and very talented, seemed like nice people too.
@Bretrick IMO three of the best to have been born on The Isle of Man. I bet you didn’t know that before they formed the Bee Gees, they were known as The Rattlesnakes, a Manchester group.
In fact, I did know that. I have read extensively about the Bee Gees and watched all the biopic videos available.
Incredible family, The Gibb brothers - and sister, Lesley.
I wasn’t that fussed about the BeeGees when I was young but love their music now. Sunday mornings in our house I have them belting out while I’m cooking the sunday roast.
I liked some of their music but not enough to make me want to go to a concert.
