I think the time has come that l could do with a proper filing cabinet.
At present, l have several plastic filing boxes that l keep on shelves in a sort of store cupboard.
I think a filing cabinet would be better. Do you have one and where do you keep it?
Maybe, you store everything online?

I have a two drawer filing cabinet left over from when I was secretary of the Senior’s club it contains mostly different coloured card, plastic sleeves and the like. Very underutilised now.
Also I do have a safe where I keep valuables including my FU money, kid’s medals, house deeds, my passport, foreign currency etc
I don’t have that much to file these days - and am good at throwing out! My writing bureau has a small filing section - so most is in there. Will, deeds, etc., in the safe.

Filing cabinets are brilliant…couldn’t be without mine, they have pockets where you can put everything in order, I have 3 in the loft…

I have a little safe for important docs and the rest is in liber arch files in the wardrobe. .
No filing cabinet necessary for me. Any documents that I need to keep are kept in a very secure immovable safe.
We don’t have a filing cabinet but we do have a filing drawer in our antique desk. All our important papers are kept in a lockable fireproof steel box. I’ve also scanned them and saved the scans to a memory stick that is on my keyring.
